Hoping for a little help setting some Quiz questions. I am away for a weekend in the woods soon and, some bright spark suggested we have an evening recreating Mastermind. One of our party has chosen as his specialist subject Hull City AFC between 2005 and 2016. I was wondering if you have ever been asked what you thought was a really good question or, if you have ever thought of one you would like to have asked in a quiz. Nothing to hard as alcohol may also be involved and that does seem to befuddle the brain when you only have two minutes. Any suggestions.....with answer...would be gratefully received... Saves me a job! Thanks.
After Hull City lost the tag line of being the largest city never to have played in the top flight which club then took up the baton? Is that too hard?
The key to a good quiz question is the answer must be a fact and not subject to opinion. City boundaries change so the answer could be open to debate.
Maybe a little easy for a regular. Name the four players who appeared for City in all of the four leagues. Ian Ashbee Andy Dawson Bo Myhill Ryan France For a bonus point which one of the four captained City through the same leagues
I think that second question is rather too easy, you might as well ask 'in which city are Hull City based?'.
In the season 04/05 which player's last minute penalty miss mattered little as City won promotion anyway with a draw? Who were the opponents? In the 05/06 season, which brothers both scored as they faced each other in the City v Wolves match? In the 06/07 season, Phil Brown achieved his first win against which opposition? In the 07/08 season, which player scored in both legs of the play-off semi-final? In the 08/09 season, City's first Premier League defeat was inflicted by which team?
The penalty one is Craig ***an against Swindon Town. About 10 seconds later, it finished 0-0 and we were promoted. Were the brothers the Corts? I think Carl Cort played for Wolves about that time.
Name all four goal scorers from our demolition of Watford in the play off 2nd leg (also happens to be my favourite ever City game)
