We can pick holes in tonights game, but what's the point when we gave such a gutsy spirited performance, yes there was some cobwebs, but give it a few more games and we will be well oiled, there was some fabulous linkup play on view there tonight, and Routledge second half was on fire, Siggy looks refreshed having a tidy Striker to play along side, and Paloschi was unlucky not to get on the score sheet, very pleased with his shift, and Fernandez was a rock at the back tonight also.........<ok>

    PS: Cannot wait for MOTD

Naughton looked great in Taylor's spot .Hope Ki is ok . Fer looks like he might be needed right away. Hopefully Ki will be ok to go but nice to know Fer is at the ready also , Guido can play Noughton at Talors spot as Fer has lots of expierence as a right back also . Paloschi came on with no notice right into the deep end and looked like he played the Swansea Way for years .Monk told Britton he could leave in the summer ........Monk should be horsewhipped ! Last but not least , everyone has a bad touch here and there in a game , try waiting and watching a whole game before bellyaching about guys like Ki and Routledge . Overall , Routledge has played two great games in a row , and to have to endure the complaining early in a game is a bit annoying .

No - the guy was pants. He was giving the ball away every time he got it and was next to useless. That's why he was criticised and rightly so. But fair play, he turned it around after Paloschi came on and overall had a decent game.

You said it to someone and I'll say it to you "What game were you watching "
Most of team didn't play that well till Paloschi came on , but it seems to be only Routs and Ki in games that has the target on their backs by some .

Nobody is targeting anyone. Routledge was absolute rubbish but then sorted himself out and contributed. Anyone with eyes can see that. Jeesh! Do you think Routledge was getting stick because he was having a good game? ffs.

It happens sometimes - players start well then fade away or vice versa. If a player is giving the ball away and pulling out of tackles he will get criticised. I'm pleased for Routs that he turned it around.

Anyone travel to the Hawthorns? Think there's any truth in fletcher's accusations of chants relating to his illness? It's very sad if it happened, very very disappointing. But he's obviously lying when he says that he didn't see Ki injured, I've watched it back a number of times and it's clearly not true. From what can be picked up on the TV, a chant of "Darren Fletcher, is a w@nker, is a w@nker" so who knows. Like I say if it's true, very disappointing indeed, as much of a moaning idiot he is,(who should spend more time practicing his heading) there's no need for those types of chants.

No sympathy from me Kwame IF it happened. I heard the '****er' chants but nothing else.

He wouldn't have got that stick if he'd behaved like a professional and not a surly gobshite. He was bitching and whinging to the ref and was abusive to our players throughout - Jack Cork in particular. He was always trying to get the ref to show cards and he even dived at one point so was lucky not to get carded himself. As you rightly say he lies through his teeth here when he says he didn't see Ki lying prone.

In fairness to him though, despite encouragement from the interviewer, he doesn't seem bothered.

IF it happened, it's disgusting and has no place in football. That would be one of the lowest things I've heard at a football match, abusing a man about his illness. He would have all the sympathy in the world from me.

    IF IT HAPPENED <ok>

Looking back, on the balance of things a draw was a fair result. West Brom missed a good few sitters in that match that nearly all other teams would have put away. Its no surprise really that they finally got one to go in.
Despite that, I think we played really well. Compared to the matches in November and December under Monk where we weren't even having a shot in the match (never mind one on target) this is a massive improvement. Paloschi looks a very promising signing. Has a great touch, can hold the ball up well, creates space for others and can pick out a pass. Can't really comment on his shooting yet as we only saw the one which was closed down very well by Foster.

Darren Fletcher behaved disgracefully when Ki was down seriously injured. He needs to have a good look at himself before criticising others. Disappointing indeed.

<laugh> You beat me to it Matt. I've heard a lot worse at football grounds over the years. Fletcher's behaviour up to that point was disgusting. To say that our fans' response "has no place in football" is pious, self-righteous, pollyanna ****e. I can't imagine that any of our fans would have given him stick if he hadn't behaved like a complete dickhead.

These players get paid more in a week than most people earn in a year. They set an example to kids up and down the country, and I hate to see players snarling at referees and fellow professionals. He then blatantly lied about not seeing Ki on the floor when replays showed he did. Fletcher deserved every bit of what he got.

    IF it happened.

Worth noting that Fletcher seems unfazed by it all and it's only some fans making a thing of it. That, at least, is to his credit.

Bit of a sickener that result. Dint feel as bad though as I would if we hadn't won the last 3 games. Need to beat Palace on Sat now and they're playing crap so we should do.

Really liked Paloschi. Could have had a couple but his chances weren't of the sort where you should be guaranteed a goal. His. Link up play and lay offs were quality. Looks a bargain but it's early days. Needs to start against Palace.

As others have said, the shooting was awful last night. Ayew in particular wasn't up to scratch and il say it was probably his worst performance for us.

Thought Barrow should have come on. Seems to have gone back down the pecking order to where he was last season whereas he's played really well when he's been given a try.

I'm worried about Barrow too, Turkish. Was he on the bench? He's a player who brings something to the table every time he comes on and I'd hate to think he's going to be discarded.

FG still getting to know his squad. With every game he will know their strengths and weaknesses.
Would not surprise me if he's a bit of a "tinkerman"

Happy with the point, gutted with the draw.

We played well enough to score 2-3 imo but when the baggies reverted to type and were assisted by the ref, who allowed them to play defenders before the ball, I felt the inevitable, up in the air scrappy goal was coming, I'm sure we all did.

I thought Routledge played very well, he owned his flank, constantly pulling their winger back with him to help in defense. He drew the midfield to him too leaving Ayew with acres of space to exploit, which he failed dismally to do imo. Many times Ayew was completely free in the middle of the park, all due to Routledge attracting so many baggies too him. Simply cant see how anyone can say Routledge was poor and I have to join in, just what game were they watching, Kiff ?

Ayew was the player I thought was poor, I didn't like his antics when he was pulled either. Showed himself up huffing off the pitch like that.

Re Ayew. All game he seemed to keep the ball too long and ran into a cul-de-sac instead of passing the damn ball. He constantly missed superb runs from our new boy and Siggy ahead of him and Routledge too out right simply by not looking further than his own feet. Siggy and Paloschi worked their guts out pulling the defense out of shape and attacking spaces in between but Ayew stiffed them every time with his, imo, one track intention which was to 'be the man'. Not only was his passing ponderous at best but in attack he was far too selfish and couldn't hit a bus. In general a poor and selfish showing from Ayew imo, everyone else played for the team but he seemed to be playing for a headline and failed dismally.

Paloschi looks good though doesn't he? and could be the answer to our prayers. just think, we could actually have seen the last of Go-miss, fingers crossed. I'd have dumped him before letting Eder go to Lille but maybe Lelle didn't want him either.

We're not going to be Swansealona this season that's for sure, more like Swanseaventus with our new Capo Guidolin. We can already see his emphasis is defense, defense, defense. All his tweaks and substitutions were defensive. Naughton for Taylor, who'd have thought of that one but I have to say I liked the move. Naughton is quicker than Taylor but was warey of his left foot. Who knows with time? Taylor does need support although I feel he has played reasonably well all season, unfortunately he's not that quick which compromises him in defense and in attack, being honest, he slows it down and the end product is usually just to shift the ball on, rarely if ever a penetrating cross. Ayew, I agree, he had to come off but I thought Barrow, Montero, on? Amat coming on shows the defensive mentality of our man.

I do hope its not goodbye to our beautiful game, but I suspect it is for a while, at least until Rogers gets here.

I have stated that Routledge played really well overall but for the first 30 minutes he was positively dreadful and I wasn't alone in saying so. Look at the timing of my posts. He turned it around and upped his game brilliantly.
