Now we've ****ed it up? Isn't it a little early to throw in the towel and support another team for the title when we are only 5 points off the top with loads of games yet to be played?

Think I'll wait for us to be mathematically out of the title race, or at least far, far closer to it, before I start hoping Leicester win it!

We were a bit unlucky not to win that game overall, with the Ozil chance in the first half and 2 or three good chances in the 2nd half
Said it already on this thread, but credit to Forster. He kept you in that game.

I've asked you to elaborate on your response to me. How is that intentionally provocative?

The 2 questions were not insulting. I've asked why you think that I do not think football has changed in 20 years, or why you think wenger "chooses" not to improve.

Simple questions really and shouldn't "intentionally provoke" any reasonable person.

Nice try, but you know exactly what you're doing when you're asking me questions that have blatantly obvious answers. You're trying to pick a fight. I'm not in the mood. If you want to pick an argument, choose someone else because I am just going to ignore you from here on in. I'd recommend you do the same for me. If you don't like what I post, just ignore it because I would rather not engage with someone like you on here.

There are three teams playing clearly better than us, so getting into the top three will be difficult this season. Man United though is inconsistent, so I guess we will finish in top four. As we always do.

Anyway, back to Arsenal and not going off on childish tangents (as some of our less able posters would rather have it), this is not anything new.

Are we still in the title race? Absolutely. This is the weakest PL in years. We won't get a better chance to win it. 5 points is still manageable but can we overcome it? It's all in our hands. We play Leicester and City soon and a win against those two will put us back in the race.

Do we have the bottle? On the evidence of the past few months, no. But this will be our last chance for a long time to win it. Next season, I doubt we will be competing with the big boys.

    Now is the time.

In regards to the game itself now, just some tactical observations, think it was a mistake to bring Coq on, either start him, or don't bring him on unless there is an injury, when you're going for it, taking a DMF off for another DMF is not exactly a good move.

I would have taken Flamini off for the OX, at that point Southampton were doing nothing, and overall, a draw or loss wouldn't be such a big difference, a point overall doesnt help us that much, so we should have really gone all out for it, and brought on another attacking body, if anything Coq made the midfield worst as he never managed to properly get into the game and find a rhythm.

Another point, we really miss Cazorla, in my opinion, Ramsey has not outshone Cazorla in midfield in these 2 months, and has not overtaken him as a starter, think we are far more effective with Cazorla in the middle than Ramsey.

Also Walcott, what happened to him, :(, he was on very good form earlier in the season, but has lost his way.

Campbell is too hot and cold, will have 1 good game, go missing the next, and repeat, needs to find consistency if he wants to cement that place or have a future at Arsenal.

Disappointing result but not the end of the world. We're still in touching distance and ALL teams have dropped points left right and centre. But realistically 4 teams can win this title and whats more chilling, Spurs is one of them. Just imagine if Spurs ends up winning the title, this forum would go into meltdown!

Stick with supporting Arsenal, I'd imagine there are still plenty of highs and lows to go this season with 14 league games left as well as the cup games. Not time to jump ship to Leicester just yet ;)

Though I'd much rather they won it than City or Sours if we do fall away from the title race. Personally I think it's still too early to know which teams will cling onto a challenge all the way to the end of the season given how unpredictable things have been and the mix of fixtures left for the top teams. We still have some comfortable runs of games left as well as some difficult away games, both city and Leicester on first glance have little runs of difficult fixtures still to play. Haven't checked Spurs fixture list this season as so far I hadn't taken them particularly seriously though they seem to be forcing there way into it.
