What I can't understand though, is why Klopp persists in playing Can, Henderson, Lucas and Milner in the same team? I get that he's struggling with the squad, but surely anyone can see that there's **** all creativity in there. Also Allen when he comes on. Firmino and even Lallana to an extent can't create anything on their own.

They may be lacking in experience, but surely some of the younger, more creative players are worth starting instead?

There's just no balance in our XI. Too many samey jack of all trades in the midfield.

    Ehhhhhhhh.

I agree with a lot you say on here but Can for me is starting lose more praise from me. I personally think he needs to learn how to be a proper CDM and focus little attacking wise. He's trying to do it all and looks shattered and offers little.

Clyne was the only positive performance today, in my eyes. Sakho was good for most of the game but cocked up for the goal which simply isn't good enough if we want to start keeping clean sheets. Moreno was ok considering he was up against the league's form winger but too many crap decisions going forward.

Firmino has a really good touch and links play up well but when he's got nobody running off him, like today, he just turns into an useless player that turns back and makes pointless 5 yards lay offs into team mates in worse positions. Emre Can takes 3 or 4 touches too many every time, Henderson and Milner are too similar and lacking in quality, Lucas goes to sleep far too often for a DM & Benteke put in another performance that proves he isn't anything more than a big lump with no technical ability that just used to stand in the box while Villa launched balls towards him.

This is so reminiscent of the football we played under the last months of Souness. Weak defence, meaningless triangles in midfield, turgid, moribund attack. I don't care what possession we ha - only one team looked like scoring, even without Vardy's worldie. The problem we have up front though is that Firmino's touch and strength, let alone his finishing, is not in Studge's class, but we need his movement. Forget 4-3-3: we played 4-4-1-1, with Lallana supposedly off Firmino, but none of the front six could control the ball, let alone release a quick pass. WTF has happened to Can?

But if we put Benteke on, as we saw, that movement stops and we even resort to lumping it to Firmino, let alone Benteke. Can't be arsed about the league any more, though it would be nice to finish above the B/s (not at all guarenteed) and, for heaven's sake, without a negative goal difference, but with this fixture jam I hope we're prioritising the LC final, Europy and FA Cup in that order now. Rather we played a weakened side against Sunderland and Villa now and be more rested for W Ham and Aisburg. In fact, it would have made more sense to play a stronger side on Saturday in the FA against W Ham and a reserve side tonight and got the FA tie over with. There's nothing for us in that league now - but are we 100% certain of not getting dragged in the relegation mire?

The ignominy. I said we'd get 7th at the beginning of the season - I'd truly settle for top half now. And Jimmy, glad too that we have Klopp (for how long?), but its more interesting times than exciting, as the curse of my Chinese ancestors went.

I meant he's the only one worth keeping for the future - only just turned 23, plenty of potential.

At 23, he shouldn't be our best mid but he is.

The fact is Allen is only 2 years older and has been slaughtered for 3 years. Why does Can deserve all this patience? Can't see the difference in quality if I'm honest and would be playing Allen week in week out personally (and that's ****ing tragic)

Getting your excuses in early again I see. <wah>

Do you ever talk about the technical side of the game? You know, the stuff that players do on the pitch that doesn't involve ref?

In comparison to what we paid for our players, that's what does my head in the most. It's killing me that we paid so much and got it so bloody wrong with this crop of players. Flashes of this and that but not enough quality and we have it until May.

According to the script, Leicester's run shouldn't be extended to topping the Premier League, but it is. I feel like we're forever destined to wear the bridesmaid's gown as we have been for the last 26 years and then up pops bleedin' Cinderella!

I hold out no hope for the league cup whatsoever, sorry.

As for uppers, no amount of gin is going to sort this out for me!

One more win and they'll be posting predictions, that they'll deny later, about being back in the title hunt.

    Tactically spot on?

    You lost 2-0

Klopp got lucky at home to Stoke - another game you lost btw, and you were total gash vs West Ham

It's about the third time I've asked the question and it's not hard to see why. It's rhetorical ofcourse, he never does. I'm just hoping it might get him to self-reflect a bit. And even if it doesn't, it's great to remind him how little he knows about the game itself.

I reckon we should keep Clyne, Couts, Firmino and Flanno for the banter.

    We therefore require the following:

    GK
    GK
    LB
    CB
    CB
    CB
    CB
    RB
    CM
    CM
    CM
    CM
    LW
    LW
    RW
    RW
    ST
    ST

Once we get them everything will be great.

Hopefully the 23 year old gambles FSG bring in in those positions will turn out great after several years of learning their trade in the first team.

If they don't, then they can go on loan and we can just lose money <ok>

Crazy isn't it. If I hadnt seen the poster I would've sworn Jimmy had posted it. This is where the jingoism for Klopp knows no bounds.
