Great result. How much have we missed Fraser - he was simply outstanding. They all played well - Romeu and JWP especially. But Fraser Forster WHAT a performance.
Fantastic display, had we lost 1-0 would not have been aggrieved; wonderful performance over two halves! Arsenal were very good second half but we matched them.
The great wall is back! Very dogged display from Saints. Tremendous slide challenge from VVD on Ozil and a clearance off the line from JWP. So not all the credit to the big man. I think we defended really well and I think Arsenal on that form would have defeated most teams. Up top we lacked a bit of composure. Mane and Long found themselves in some promising situations, but we really failed to punish Arsenal or make Cech work. Pelle didn't look fit at all, but we had no other options without Austin.
Too many shots off target for us. On another day plus fit Pelle and/or Austin you never know. But the defence were so good that we didn't need to score to draw.
Well happy with that result. Everyone worked their socks off again. Long looked knackered in those last few minutes. Didn't create a lot, but messed up some good break away positions with loose final balls.
Like that. If you weren't answered Chilco, yes the game was similar to the last 20 minutes. The first half it was fairly even though tight. 2nd half started off similar, but then Arsenal started to attack more until we made some changes. You probably saw the result of that.
Well done to Saints for managing to get a point away at Arsenal despite being hampered by Koeman's ****ing **** line-up.
Bit my fingernail up to the elbow in the 2nd half, we really struggled to hold possession at times but Arsenal are a good side going forward. Great credit to big Fraser he does certainly commant the box.
I loved the bit where Virgil pinched the ball off Giroud and decided to make a run for the corner from 25 yards inside his own half! Everybody looked like they were giving 100%, great to see such commitment.
Football is crazy; a few weeks ago I considered a home FA Cup match to palace a certain defeat, which it was. Roll on a few games and we are playing so well I am a little disappointed we only get a draw at arsenal
