Diego Costa opened the scoring just after the half-hour, finding the net from close-range, but Watford were to go into the break level thanks to Troy Deeney’s penalty after a Nemanja Matic handball. Odion Ighalo put Watford ahead 11 minutes after the break, scoring his 13th of the season and in doing so finding the net for a fifth game in a row, but Costa completed his brace midway through the second-half to level the scores. Oscar sent a Chelsea penalty way over the target after Valon Behrami’s trip on Eden Hazard, as the Hornets took an impressive 13th point from their last five Premier League games. TEAM NEWS: Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores will recall the senior players he rested for Saturday's FA Cup win against Nottingham Forest. Thanks OFH, I can put one up for the next game, if you need. I hope we can get a win, that´d really put Chelski back into the relegation fight!
All yours Mex. Tried to PM you over this one, but not possible. Think that the cup game Chelsea had will have given them confidence.
Not sure why that is... I´ll get one up for the Sat game. Hope we can win against the strongest looking squad below us! Pato might start and all!
Its ok as promised im not going to any more games this trip so we should get a draw (wish i had of gone to the Forrest game )
Nice one OFH. Looks like our next couple of games are against teams in good form, so they are going to be difficult. We should draw against Chelsea and will have to defend very well on Saturday to get anything from the Spuds. Lots of football coming up.
Some good results tonight unless you are near the bottom of the table. Norwich, Sunderland and Villa all losing. Iturbe spent the whole game getting splinters for Bournemouth and Adebayor missed the one chance that he had.
thanks M Frenchie fab thread. Not feeling at all confident about this one, must be something to do with our very rum show on Saturday! Would be good to get a point, i think that's the best we can hope for, but right now, there are so many unknowns after the transfer window, who knows! There, that got my negativity out of my system...obviously i'm going for a 2-1 win, coz 3 might be pushing our luck . We need the points to capitalise on results from tonight. COYH!!!!
Thanks OFH! My landlord is Chelsea so for the first time ever I am hoping to have someone put my rent up in Thursday morning. Tricky run again but hey, it is what we all wanted - and loving every minute. COYH!
We are playing tonight - hardly a word about it on Talksport which is strange considering they have "live and exclusive" commentary on the game!
The media are still very good at ignoring us. Leaving Leicester at 4.30 so will hopefully be OK for KO as long as the roadworks around the town don't scupper me and I can get a parking space!
“Every time we play against every single team they go to the pitch thinking about Watford,” said Sanchez Flores who takes great pride in winning the tactical battle. “They change the shape. They try to protect against [Troy] Deeney, [Odion] Ighalo and play one midfield centre more. Teams at the top of the league change, play more defensive, because they are afraid of Watford. We need to keep humble… but have a lot of tools.” They have even more tools since Mario Suarez and Nordin Amrabat signed, players with Champions League experience who can, if selected, help Watford go toe to toe with an improving Chelsea team who have not lost under Guus Hiddink. “They have very good players, they have an amazing squad and amazing opportunity to change players,” said Watford’s head coach. “They have different variants and it is difficult to play against Chelsea as they have amazing power. We had the opportunity to win [against them in December] and finally we draw. We are really positive that we can do something. We have the tools and ideas on our plan.”
Hi, last minute I know, but I have 2 tickets in family stand that are going spare as my kids are unwell. They are about 12 rows back pretty much behind the goal. If anyone is interested please PM me
Wonder if Oscar´s penalty has landed? ahahhahahaha ¡¡¡¡ COYH COYH COYH !!!! Would be great to get a win, but I´d take 2-2 again!
2 hrs from Leicester to Church car park. Happy with that. Britos out (illness) so Prodl in. Paredes preferred to Nyom, and of course, Holebas for Ake. Suarez and Amrabat both on bench. Heading to ground now. COYH!

Chelsea Thibaut Courtois; Branislav Ivanović, Kurt Zouma, John Terry, César Azpilicueta; John Obi Mikel, Nemanja Matić, Willian, Cesc Fàbregas, Oscar; Diego Costa Substitutes: Asmir Begović, Gary Cahill, Baba Rahman, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Kenedy, Bertrand Traoré, Eden Hazard Guus Hiddink has dropped Eden Hazard to the bench this evening as Oscar will start on the left wing. Nemanja Matić gets a rare start under the Dutch manager who has gone with two out-and-out holding midfielders versus a Watford side not in the greatest of form. Cesc Fàbregas plays the number 10 role once more where he has been in fine form of late.
