    Exactly.

Everyone thinking 'how's he going to adapt etc.'

    Adapt to what?

It's the same sport. It's football, and he's the top dog. Simple as that. We're merely people on a forum. Anyone in the game will (and has) said how good he is... at just about everything needed to succeed.

It's a mixture of Chelsea and Utd fans that are bitter and others that don't really know too much about what he's done behind the scenes wherever he's been. I'll take his ex-players and staff's opinions over ours anyday.

He's even linking up at City with some old staff he had at Barca, so it'll be a very familiar environment for him.

But whatever he does he's onto a loss. Because he does well and that'll be the normal 'easy job'.
He takes time to build his squad and it'll be he hasn't achieved his goals.

Man City have been clever here, very clever. For me they'll go on and dominate now. Everything is in place, now it's just a matter of time imo.

Guardiola is a great manager no doubt about it. And what worries me is that with his undoubted ability and the resources at his disposal he will sweep up everything worthwhile.

It will make winning the title in the next 3-4 years even more difficult for us even if Klopp assembles the squad he wants.

The arrival of Guardiola will make life difficult for all the big teams. Including us (yes, we are one whether people here like to say it or not).

Three second places in fourteen seasons suggest otherwise, in this context anyway.

Why is this a reason for us with an ambition to win the title in the next few years to rejoice?

I just don't understand people here. Surely if the Chelsea fans and the United fans are worried about this, we should too??? Or are we saying that we've given up completely on any ambition to win the title in the next few years even with Klopp??

We are a big team. We have spent big, we have the fan base and the history and the ambition. So are you saying we should no longer even have the ambition? How does Pep going to City make our goals nearer?

Agreed - he made that Barca side into one of the greatest club sides in the history of the sport. He made decisions during his time - getting rid of big names like Ronaldinho and Ibra, and persisting with 'lesser' names.

I do agree with Gez to some extent regarding his time at Bayern though.

The Man City job isn't straight forward but that team should be walking the league. The PL is very competitive but that's more down to the bigger teams becoming considerably weaker (the smaller teams have improved though).

As I pointed out before... poor pipe only had messi and xavi and Iniesta and the barca president made the signings.

It's like this is Luis garlic gets no credit for his work over last two years why should pep.

His work at bayern under the same structure has been less than spectacular.

So the real deal for pep is taking those two cbs in otamendi and mangala and making them look brilliant. If he can do that fine. If not then what?

Also the sterling bathers need take note. .. if he's on bench winning medals he won't care.

We need to see him sold to Swansea asap.

That is why I think that City has made the perfect appointment. I do not think he is among the greatest 3-4 managers yet but what he has shown is the ability to make a very big side even better. Barcelona Bayern and now City. Huge clubs with huge resources.

An already formidable team and squad will become even stronger.

    He made bayern worse.....

    Just saying.

Anyone who gets rid of Yaya and put in a proper midfield at city will improve them a lot.
