So, that's it, business done. In: Harper Kone Kirchhoff N'Doye Khazri Out: A load of **** Pantilimon Is it enough to keep us up? I don't think so personally but hope springs eternal. Of the incoming, Khazri is the only one who excites me in the least, for various reasons. I don't think any of the others will become a regular feature in our first team. I don't think we've done enough to make up the gap to our relegation rivals. Newcastle have really splashed the cash and puled ahead. I don't massively rate any of their signings but collectively I think they've improved more than we have. Fingers crossed time!
Just think our luck has run out. We have as much chance as mags and Swansea and Norwich and Bournemouth will get sucked into it. Hope I'm wrong but I voted no!
We'd need to go on one hell of a run. Being at my most optimistic I only see us picking up 18 points at best. thats 37 points. I think we need 40.
To me you stay in the Premier League with the goals you score and your players up front....we are light up there. Defoe gets injured....were ****ed....pleased to see the **** out of the door. If only Rodwell could have gone.....
YES, For no other reason than i'm an eternal optimist. Looking at the fixtures it's a daunting task and looks impossible, however we are Sunderland and we just don't do plain and boring, plus we have a good manager and a better squad than others around us. The next 4 games are crucial, if we fail to get any points then i fear we'll be too far adrift to catch up, grab a couple of draws or a sneaky win and we're still in the hunt.
I have gone for yes as I believe that we had and do have quality in the team but it was badly used by DA from the season's start. Steadied by SA but he got caught out by tinkering with tactics and switching players. Now I see us with a beefed up midfield and a more subtle strike pair, or three and they are his signings which he made with plan in mind. From now we ain't going to be no pushover and I suspect good enough to win more than we lose.
Splinters for me. I'm trying to be positive but that settle for a point job against Bournemouth has knocked the wind out of my sails Going through our remaining fixtures and i tallied 8 points :-( We really need a couple of coupon busters, hoping for a draw tonight and hopefully a win against Man utd. We are relying on Bournemouth's inexperience and Norwichs arse falling out again like it did 2 years ago
Nah we're ****ed. That said, I hope all the optimists come back in May & rub my face in the cow ****.
Not only do we need to exceed expectations but the likes of Norwich, Bournemouth etc need to implode, its going to be one hell of an escape if we do it this time, but hope springs eternal and we have to dream, and I think we will do it, but only just.
Spelks for me. Impossible to say until we see how well (And how quickly) the new lads can make a difference. I have reservations that Sam`s been able to do enough with the rubbish he was given. Almost impossible task imo. Naturally I hope we can survive the drop but it would be no surprise if we didn`t.
Thats it - I voted Yes - really feel we'll get something from next 4 tough matches - if not .... Feel BSA will lead us out of our traditional mess . After the BFA great post on our financial position I can see how ES is boxing clever atm - hopefully no more of these mess up seasons
At the moment i cant say for sure but it looks bleak, i think we need at least a point from the next 2 games to give us hope. Every game is now a cup final and we have to go for it. Get something tonight against Man City and i could start re-believing in miracles!!
I was as optimistic for the purpose of the the exercise. Reality is I don't think we we can scrape 35 points together.
