Give me sport and the Mail. Right. In other news, Stoke just spent £18m on Imbula. I hope for their sake that he 'fits' into their system

Just in terms of the front page rcl, I'm pretty sure Grant Ward is at Rotherham, not Brentford. At least we'll get to see Pritchard get some PL game time at WBA, I hope he can make a mark there in his half-season and kick on with us next year and who knows, maybe it gets us some credit in the bank with them if we go back for Berahino. Be nice to potentially see Oduwa play for us too. Frustrating not to get a striker but we signed another promising youngster in Shilow Tracey and if he turns out to be another Alli then we might look at this as a successful window in the long term, as long as we cope with Kane as our only recognised striker for the rest of the season. We've at least offloaded one or two who probably wouldn't have featured anyway (I imagine Fazio might make his Seville move permanent in the summer, and we've raised funds from the sales of Townsend and Velkjovic) to give us some more dry powder in the summer if we go back in for any of our Jan targets.
I must say, the levels of optimism and cheer on this forum are comforting and I thank you all for that. As for me, it's goodnight and a big fat 'F*ck you Levy. F*ck you and f*ck your stupid bald head'. Here's to May, when one of the two parties on this forum will be saying 'I told you so'. And I sure as hell hope it isn't me and my pessimistic bastard brigade.
It is unlikely that a tribunal will price Dembele Jr. at £6million in the summer. Why pay that now if we had to let him stay with Fulham. Perhaps we will get him via Standard Liege for peanuts
When someone like me is is cheering you up and is more optimistic than you then you know that you really are in a grumpy mood
Losing Kane would hurt us badly, but it would hurt us badly despite having Dembélé or even Berahino to replace him. I think Alli/Son/Chadli would be a better option than Dembélé this year. Berahino would probably be better than Alli/Son/Chadli. But his attitude makes me queasy. The team is outplaying everyone, more or less, and while talent has plenty to do with that, fitter players trying harder has got plenty to do with it as well. Who knows what locker room poison could do to that? Besides, if we miss a hold up player, we only need to tell Alli that when he plays facing his teammates, he needs to knock it back occasionally instead of just turning and volleying them past the keeper. But what’s the word on the street?
Because he could go on and score another 15 goals between now and the end of the season and come the summer Chelsea will offer him 90k a week and he'll sign for them? I think that the most likely scenario is that we never seriously considered him a viable option and the whole thing was simply another 'well look how hard I tried' wool-over-the-eyes job from Teflon Dan. We only ever wanted him as a stop-gap between now and the summer and when that ceased being an option we did what we're best at doing in transfer windows...bugger all.
Either we don't have enough ambition, or Pochettino is making a very big-balled statement that he can succeed very well without any key additions. This is either a very good move, or a terrible one. We'll see. I'd absolutely love it if, upon signing nobody, we actually went on to win something. Anything. Either cup or the league. Anything short of that will leave me disappointed that we didn't get reinforcements to insure our success.
Go make a nice mug of cocoa, a warm hot water bottle, climb into bed with a good book and chill the **** out my friend You may not feel better in the morning but there's less chance of you getting an ulcer or having a breakdown Night all
Go f*ck yahself you cheerful pillock In all honesty, I really, really feel for Villa fans. Such a horrendous position to be in, knowing that major investment could've saved their season. Their lack of activity when every other team down in the basement has been so ambitious must be torture for them. It's like Lerner has locked the door on their future and thrown away the keys. Just awful. Anyway, where was I? Oh yes; f*ck the lot of ya And f*ck Zeki Fryers. F*ck him. And John Terry. The c*nt.
It seems like we've been desperate for that all crucuial decent second striker since the days of woe when Defoe, Crouch, and Pav couldn't get into double-figures between them! Thank God Kane came good, and he's not of the same mindset as the likes of Carrick, or Berbatov or Modric, or even Bale! Just image where we'd be if we had to hold on to LOLdado, and he was our only striker! Or Adebayor!
