Right lads, we now HAVE TO win the title this season. If we don't do it this season, Wenger will never win it again for us.
This will be the closest Premiership title race ever, and we still haven't got a clue which team will take it. This one will be down to who has the biggest cojones, as no one team are worthy winners so far. I'm inclined to agree with you on Wenger's best chance and I think he may have blown it for such a sh1tty summer transfer window. His complacency got the better of him and he went into the season under strength. We have our players available but have a fight on our hands to get back to the top. Every game here on is a potential minefield. The big question is, have our players got the right stuff?
It was on BBC News and they were linking to L'Equipe, but I didn't want to link to L'Equipe coz it was all in French and I don't speak it so didn't know exactly what it was saying - but it's a reputable source. There's lots of other sources saying the same thing. This was just the 1st link I found in English...
Doesn't seem to be anything interesting involving Arsenal going on for deadline day. Saw an interesting fact on the BBC live feed about Chelsea though, they've made the largest transfer deadline day buy in January for four of the last five years! Pep to city seems the biggest bit of news for the day. It's going to make Man City a whole new animal next season. With the resources they have, plenty of cash will be made available to back Guardiola in the summer transfer window. And I'd imagine he will add more consistency to there performances. For now though I'm more interested in how this news effects Man City this season, it could potentially see there season derail with Pellegrini knowing he is moving on and the players looking ahead already to next season, or it could fire up the players to impress for the rest of the season to make sure they aren't moved on when the new manager comes in and Pellegrini could be really motivated to finish with a bang. It'll be interesting to see how it effects them.
Stoke have signed Imbula from Porto for around £18 Million. Would have been a good signing for us actually.
Yep I really rate him. But we've signed Elneny so I don't think any more DMs will be coming in. It's a massive signing for Stoke though, they are building a very good team there.
Well debuchy has gone http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/20160201/mathieu-debuchy-joins-bordeaux-on-loan
Maybe with Debuchys poor form (and we don't know how he looks in training) Wenger decided he'd prefer to have chambers as back up and getting time to develop instead of sticking with Debuchy? Either way I would have preferred we kept him for squad depth until the end of the season though if he was really pushing for a move due to the euros I can understand how giving him a loan move might have seemed the best way to deal with him. If that was the case it would have been nice to get a loan deal of our own maybe to cover his absence. Let's hope it isn't a decision that we end up regretting!
It seems the worst of both worlds as we lose him for the crucial next 6 months for no transfer fee (I'm assuming the loan won't be with a transfer fee) but then in the summer we won't be rid of him when we wont actually need him because jenks should be fit by then. Even though he has shown poor form for us it says something that teams like Bordeaux and Man U were in for him
United's RB is pretty average, so not surprised they were in for someone like Debuchy, I actually think that speaks volumes of how desperate they are, trying to get an Arsenal bench warmer....How the mighty have fallen.
How can we say Debuchy's showing poor form when he's hardly played for us ? Rightly or wrongly Wenger seems to show faith with whoever's in possession of the shirt as he has shown many times over the years
