Lets say us Newcastle fans decided to revolt Liverpool style, do you think it would cause more harm than its worth? or is it the only real way to end this "tyranny"?

Countless times we've stated that we've had enough. We've tried to implement boycotts, protests etc but we eventually forget about it and go back to supporting our team leaving the fat man to do whatever he wants.

I'm torn between if revolution will be a good or bad thing as it depends on the consequences.

    Thoughts?

It only works if the owner agrees to pack up and **** off though.

It depends on if you want to listen to your head or your heart.

I doubt a 'revolt' would work. Lets face it, alot of the fans who implemented the boycott and protests a few seasons back were just kids. And what did they succeed in doing? Not alot, apart from making themselves a laughing stock. Where as with Liverpool, people took their protests seriously. I dont know if it was just down to them being a bigger club, or some other underlying reason.

Its hard to say really what Newcastle can do. I do fear however, anything the fans do try and put together, will just be ruined by part time chav fans who just take part in protests in hope of getting on tv.

This. Sadly. No matter what anyone does, Fat Mike will still be rolling round in his Billions at the end of the day.

For it to possibly work it has to be very organised.

There should be one representative for the media and press to express the fears of the true fans thoughts and all media releases will be coherent, factual and not include any vitriol towards the owners.

The supporters union (NUST) screwed up royally by verbally attacking the owners and his board at every possible opportunity and then wondered why Mike and Derek wouldn't meet with them. I know I wouldn't meet a bunch of people who have slated me in the press.

Mike doesn't have to listen though because he has a customer base that do not simply detach itself from a brand and go elsewhere for an alternate.

    The club has us.

    Mike owns the club.

This 'revolution' can only have a successful outcome if Mike is prepared to sell and I truly don't think he's that concerned about us; the supporters. He's trying to make the club break even after years of mismanagement and protect his financial outlay.

A club in the Premiership that breaks even is a truly rare thing. Imagine the costs involved with buying something so unique?

Theres no unity to do anything major we have United for Newcastle and NUST, possible other smaller ones all vying for supporters following. NUST is the biggest waste of time what are they doing.

We have done this before but nobody wanted to buy the club except Moat who had no money. Ashley's valuation of the club is too high and what he is doing at NUFC is just unfair on the players, manager and especially the fans.

He may have a good policy of buying young players on low wages but at the end of the day it's not good enough when we have to sell to buy. I think we should give it one more season to see if his policy pays off. If it doesn't then lets try again.

No one in their right mind is going to buy us. On top of whatever the asking price is they also have to pay back £100M Fat Mike has loaned the club. We're stuck with him for the time being, and who says the next one will be any better? I remember Pompey fans going off on one when they were bought by a "mega-rich Arab", trouble was he had no money and was trying to do the same as the Glazers and raise loans secured against the club.

His name was Chris Mort and was paid £1.4M for his time at the club, another one with the club's best interests at heart.

I don't know very much about all of this but people have been talking about this 100m the club owes him for absolutely ages now, is that debt really still there?

He's referring to Barry Moat who finally got Mike down to an £80 million bid for the club. Mike agreed if it was in cash and he'd leave.

Moat then asked if £40 million up front was OK and the remainder spread out over 4/5 years.

Rightly; Mike told him to go away.

<doh> sorry was having a ******ed 5 mins. Apologies.

Yup, very much still there. I posted in another thread about the financial report, he gave the club £100M loan basically so we could stay afloat. He's not charging interest on it (thus losing a fortune) but the loan will have to be paid if the club is sold.

id rather not revolt i still disagree with all the Ashley hate. he's made mistakes but at least we wont be screwed in a couple of years times, and with enriques quotes carroll was sold for over the odds money and i don't think Ashley could have said no i certainly wouldn't have, 35 million every day. and nolan was offerd a perfectly good contract to stay and he rejected it so whose fault is that... plus we all know Enrique wants to go and hes just trying to make it easy for him not to get slagged of by the fans; and by the looks of it its working.

Exactly, chances are we'll just fall flat on our faces and be portrayed as a bunch of fickle, deluded, illiterate clowns and watch as the entire nation and beyond point and laugh at our sorry, sagging, Sports Direct raped, Ashley fisted arseholes...

    ...Again.
