Should Samuel have come back? This seems to be a debate every time the striker scores for Gillingham. So when news filtered through that Samuel had hit the net once again during a 2-1 success against Barnsley on Saturday, fans once again started to discuss whether extending the frontman’s loan spell to the end of the season was a wise move. While Samuel is scoring goals in League 1, Reading are struggling to find the target. In fact no current Reading striker has scored a league goal since Matej Vydra broke the deadlock at Nottingham Forest back in November. So it’s no surprise to see some supporters frustrated at the fact their talented young forward is out doing the business elsewhere. http://www.getreading.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/reading-fc-talking-points-dyches-10891675
Must admit I'd be fuming if it was round the other way and a Gills young talented striker out on loan. But hey, their loss is our gain
I had that conversation with some people on twitter a couple of weeks ago about getting Cundle involved in the first team. The reaction I got was as if I had praised Adolf Hitler's views & morals and saying he wasn't good enough. These views were based on one development game from last year. I despair at some of our fans at times, I really do.
If the guy is developing well, leave him alone and hopefully we will reap the rewards in due course. No point rushing things. Bradley Dack was banging in loads of goals for the youth side......he is now delivering. You cannot push a boy into a man's job.....ie Ashley Miller who needed a bit more care and nurturing...in my opinion.
