Secret footballer is just reporting the same stuff that the fans already know.

Peace needs us in the Premier League. It's worth too much £££ and also strengthens his selling position if he does go down that route. That's why he's playing hard ball with Saido. If we already had 35 points he'd be sold today, but he knows staying up again is worth hundreds of millions and Saidos 25 mil is not the priority in the bigger picture.

Rondon, Chester cost us 22 million combined and their returns have been poor(although trust me, Rondon will be brilliant in an attacking side and not the dinosaur style of ours) for the spend so I think Peace has reservations about giving Pulis 25million more to spend.

If Saido goes, and we don't get a replacement, Pulis will walk by the end of the week, mark my words.

Saying on Sky News that the 21 million bid was sent via e-mail yesterday and no response has been received from West Brom?
One can only hope they are chasing this up.
Has all the markings of a non starter, 3,30pm and nothing doing.
I hope they are still looking at Left back and centre back whilst there is some time left.
I think we are done, unless we manage to offload some of the dregs.

No good e-mailing the offer. Follow it up with a phone call and keep hounding them.

Yeah, I think we're done and I have no complaints over choice of striker; Doumbia is a good player, better on paper than Gomis and - arguably - Berahino.

I'd still like to see a LB turn up, even just as cover. Not really bothered about who they are - Enrique, Gibbs, Willems, anything's better than fibreglass Haidara. I like Dummy, he's ok to have around but shouldn't be first choice LB.

Speaking of, the Mirror are reporting that we want Enrique on loan.

Not sure you can call him fibre glass - he has had 2 injuries, one of which was the **** awful "tackle" from Mcmanaman

Seriously?! I completely disagree - yes he had the horror tackle, but he'd had niggles before and has had a good number since.

Fair enough, but couldn't he be disruptive? I mean, it's not like he's playing much anyway? Just seems really odd to me, doesn't make an awful lot of sense, I must say. I understand in the case of Stones or Kane, where the club in question doesn't really need the cash and aims for Europe or trophies. But West Brom aren't in the same bracket (neither are we yet either, so no offence).

Lets not forget the lad is also ****e which is probably more of a concern <laugh>

We desperately need a left back. A quality one would be preferable, but even just a short term fix would do. Enrique? I think he has been past it for a while and its strange that consecutive managers have completely shunned him but I suppose they did spend a lot of money on Moreno

Could well be disruptive but he's a good talent to have on the bench if we need getting out of trouble if it gets tight at the bottom.

Peace is always safety first and will never sell under valuation. This is a bloke who got 10 million for Curtis Davis!

Point is he will be selling under valuation in the end, because by not taking the £21m now, he's thrown at least £6m away. If you do by some miracle then get dragged down, he's thrown away more because he won't be keeping him in the Championship. Even if he then doesn't sell for less in the Summer, Berahino is free to sign for whoever he wants on a pre-contract in Jan. If we were trying to steal him away, I'd sort of understand. But we're offering well over what he's worth - it's a very strange gambit by Peace.

The one proviso is that they may already know that the player himself doesn't want to sign for us, and so the best bet going forward is to be seen to be showing bravado in the hope it pushes up what others (ie Spurs) may feel they need to bid.

You have to love Danny Murphy mentioning his dad when talking about advice on who to sign. You can imagine the phonecall from his agent two minutes after first print - "Er Danny, bad call mate, his dad was killed in a civil war in Burundi when he was about 4 yr old" Uncomfortable silence follows.

I would suspect that WBA think they could get a huge fee still in 5 months time and that they may only be losing £3m or £5m off the £21m we have offered and that that is utter peanuts compared with the financial risk of relegation. So it works out for the club, and, given that Berahino thinks he's something special, it works out for him to stay put until the summer too as he wants a 'better' club than Newcastle. I think he'll be a starter for WBA for the rest of the season and do quite well.

If you're Pullis you say to Bera now that if he wants to move to a big club in the summer he has 5 months to convince them on the pitch as they weren't knocking down the door to get him in January. Benefits Bera and WBA.
