Distinctly shaky back 4 and average midfield for one.

lack of cover for aguero for another.

Joe hart flogs for a third.

This is a team wanting a CL.. not a team wanting to be third in prem.

They have bodies but a lot of them are not great. Sure they are in the league cup final.. so what? they are in fa cup 5th round.. so what.. they've been poor enough this year for the level of investment.

I think personally arsene wenger will be delighted at today's announcement as this could EASILY destabilize city as a lot of players will be looking round thinking hmmmmm do i bother now.

The first reverse and i don't think i'd see pelligrini having much impact on them... is there real leaders there on the pitch to pull them round... nope.

I can see a few heads dropping if they go behind in a game frankly...

The problem for them now, is that Pelligrini no longer has genuine authority in that dressing room, as they know he's off.

The players own motivation will decide whether they win the league or not this season now.

Oh no, City need players, whatever will they do?
With all that money and one of the best managers in World football (he is dubbed as for some ****ing reason), how will they ever replace them all!!!?!?

Again, in all seriousness, I agree with you regarding Wenger and Ranieiri being happy with this news.
Cutting Pellegrini's balls off half way through the season when they are competing for 4 trophies was a ****ing dumb idea.

really don't think he'll make much of a difference tbf, what more can he do with city that mancini and pellegrini haven't done?

win the prem? both done that. win either carling or fa cup? both done that.

win the CL? nah no chance of pep doing that either.

pep has had it easy his entire managerial career, try managing qpr mate.

Wasn't it Pep who sold Yaya when he was at Barca?

Selling Yaya could be the best thing for the club - their midfield is weak when he's starting.

<laugh> Man Utd thought they might get him

They need to wake up. Their options are Neville and Giggs. Even Neville might be a stretch.

i heard paul scholes was up to no good these days.

as far as nev is concerned, he's going to earn himself a newly improved contract the way things are going.

yes. thats excatly how i'd put it. If they think they are gone next year anyway quite a few of them like sagna, clichy, demichelas, fernandinho, yaya.. they might all give 70% and if they do.....

well... I can see them roll in 4th if that occurs. can see them let utd catch time but i could see them just leave the league behind them.

thye got a good CL draw so they will prob go for that , they have a legaue cup final... but they might not do anything in fa cup.

    huh?

    Did they take a poll?
Asking the players would be ******ed. Especially their current players.
Mourinho would make them work and not just sit back and look for the 0-0.
Of course they would vote no.

SSN showing a graph of Pellagrini's win percentage in his first 100 league games, he's 2nd only to Mourhino, he's on 64 wins from his 99 games.
They've doctored 3rd place and give it Fergie 62, when its really only 41, but Sky made it premier league only to airbrush the real tally out of the equation.<laugh>

Its madness that they are getting rid! Especially when Pellegrini could end up winning the quadruple this season.

So this is how its done now. You announce the replacement while the current one is still in the job.

The last time such a thing happened it eerily involved Pep yet again and that season Bayern won the treble which Pep struggled to emulate.

So I don't think it may affect the players anyway.

I haven't done the calculations on it, but my first guess would be the City dressing room contains quite a bit more ****s than Bayern

Yeah, Pellegrini has a realistic chance of winning the quadruple...
