No disrespect to the fire brigade, they do a great job putting out fires but what is recovering a lorry on its side to do with them.
If it's on the South carriage way thats the Bridge Boards fault for letting it on the bridge!!! Matrix signs on all motorways show it as Closed to High Sided Vehicles.. I hope the company or the Bridge are picking up the tab. Its causing chaos...
They've given up trying to lift it, it's too windy, they've now tied it down to stop it falling off. please log in to view this image Forget using the bridge for a while.
Apparently his underwear was the only thing that really suffered, he got out with just a few bruises.
They didn't announce that it was closed on RH until after the accident, though obviously that doesn't necessarily mean they didn't actually close it earlier. They don't expect the wind to die down until the early hours, so it seems it won't reopen until tomorrow.
Northbound .... ALL traffic is been turned off at Barton intersection before the bridge and all high sided vehicles trying to sneak on are been turned around via M180
With the new tagging system there's a lane with no barrier when you come on from the north and from the south, there's nothing to stop anyone ignoring the signs and driving straight over.
