Thats my biggest thing with Pep, was basically given the best squad in Spain on a plate, then the best squad in Germany on a plate, now the same in England. Obviously doesn't believe in paying his dues.
I don't think it is an easy route. He might be surprised by the lack of quality they actually have. Two of their best players, Toure and Kompany are past their peak and in Aguero they have a fragile, if brilliant, striker. Is the rest of their squad all that though? As in, on the same scale as Barca and Bayern. Admittedly though, they can throw unlimited funds at it with the cancellation of FFP and he can more than likely attract good players now they have a semblance of Kudos to them, having bought a famous manager.
it shows how much he is confident about his skills too as a manager for me, he will remain as unproven manager till he stop picking best teams around and making his life easier
££££ will still not fill its stadium even with Pep as manager. More reason for UTD and Chavski to get a decent managers to put pep into his box
hehe, was wondering how long it would be before either CFC or Blueman posted that Surprised its taken this long to be honest
Again though, that shows a lack of ambition with Pep. Man United would have been too much like work for him, he would have actually have had to buy a team, and get it working. Same with Chelsea. No, better to go to the team who are already competing (and will probably win) the title, and have CL football all but guaranteed for next season.
Yeah I would be incredibly surprised if both United and Chelsea hadn't enquired when he said he was leaving Bayern.
I imagine that managers want to manage the best footballers in the world and that is what drives this guy. I would say though that once he's done at City it would be a challenge for him to go to a club that needs rebuilding and a club with a limited budget just so that he challenges himself and for him to show that he can do it. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up back at Barca at some point though and then maybe the Spain job.
He certainly won't end up at United after his three year stint at City. He's pissed on those chips for good.
Don't think he's taken the easy route to be honest. A squad on par with 3-4 others in the Prem (if not a small amount better), equal funds to Chelsea, United, Arsenal (if they chose to spend) Best players pask their peak or injury prime Additionally, if he fails everyone will say he had the best team etc and if he's successful it'll be because of the team - lose lose situation. Stop behaving like a 16year old girl who's been done up the arse United fans.
