If Powell wants the move he should make it happen and get his agent to tow the line. Equally if I was the player (and I wanted the move) I would be saying if you don't get it sorted I'll be off as soon as the contract allows. Yep, agents have to earn a living, but they have nothing without the players who should 'hold the aces'; if not something is materially wrong. That said if Powell DOES join on loan and proves himself, then a signing on fee when no transfer fee is involved is the norm. I don't see him in the first eleven anyway so personally not fussed either way
I feel if we keep the squad together today, we can get by with Akpom and Diomande. In fact I thought Aluko also had his best game for a while on Saturday. That said Brucey has always been light on proven strikers all the time he's been with us. One things for sure we will need another proven striker come the season end even if we keep Hernandez, which I believe come the Summer will be dependent upon us getting promotion
thought this lark had been stopped by the FA/FL after the way Watford took the piss out of the loan system.
Seems if Powell wants the move, he will based on the following make it happen? http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/p...er-City-says/story-22891708-detail/story.html If it doesn't happen, blame Powell!
I know Watford signed about 55 loans players from foreign clubs a season or so ago but I'm sure the circumstances were different as they were not under an embargo just basically abusing the loan system, either way though you are correct that they are both taking the piss.
Thats certainly interesting isnt it. We'll see how much he wants to come. Mind you he might also see coming here he might be spending a lot of time on the bench so its maybe not that good a move.
Depends how ambitious he is and how much he wants first team football, Can't see Manure offering him a new deal in the summer, so if he doesn't come to us - and we have a good chance of being n the PL next season, where does he see himself going?
the article on why his loan was cut short at Leicester is interesting to read, poor time keeping(late) and poor attitude in training(lazy)

No problem if it's a 'try before you buy' kind of loan, he might have not liked Pearson or something. If he likes it here and we like him then something permanent could be on.
That's my point too! Rhodes & mac maybe but not someone who's got history! We're only gonna do loans anyway so we've still got that window! We've again had a good window if we keep our players!
Sheffield Wednesday have confirmed the loan signing of Aiden McGeady until the end of the season. Newcastle United have signed striker Seydou Doumbia on loan from Roma. Another excellent signing by Peterborough - Tom Nichols from Exeter another lower league gem. Stoke City reject bid from Marseille for Peter Odemwingie.
