Have to agree with this.
I laugh every time someone suggests we play deeper. We can't defend to save our lives no matter how we play, so we have to play our best game and hope we create enough chances.

 

we'll dominate the ball and corner stat, they'll dominate the rest.

would like to see ward and tex play and benteke ideally to not be in the squad

 

Creating the chances is one thing, finishing them off is another. We are more than capable of beating Leicester but if they can use their key men (Vardy, Mahrez and Kante) well they will cause us problems.

As you say we can't defend so might as well go at them and see what happens.

I said "hope we create enough chances"- meaning enough chances to actually take a couple.
It's pointless a team that can't defend trying to defend. It's only led to dull games, bad draws or ugly defeats. We've won some good games by going at it from the off- that shows that it can be done, and it's stylish and exciting. Imo, it's the only way that this current team can get a result. The moment I see a tentative, probing start to a game my heart sinks because it's so obvious where it's going.

 

I agree, when we go at teams Klopps style is exciting and pleasing to watch which is what we all missed so much. I'd be happy winning it 4-3 and watching a great game.

Yeah I'd take the 1-0 win and 3 points but I'd rather start with the attitude of attacking them.

 

I'd take it too- I just don't see it happening.
Teams that win that way are actually good at it. I know I'm repeating myself, but we must get it into our heads that we can't defend so there's no point in playing a type of game that requires us to be tight at the back.
We must play to our strengths if we want to take anything from it.
The old cliché about attack being the best form of defence was never truer than it is for our team atm.

 

Probably our worst performance of the season at Anfield, and deservedly lost. Attack us at the KP at your peril. Please dont play Benteke - he always seems to score against us. Looking forward to the game tomorrow evening, and wondering if I will actually hear your lot sing once the match has started. I sit in the Kop - the other end to the away fans, and have not heard many of the visiting fans making any noise, apart from pre kick off. Will be a good atmosphere. Hoping for a Shinji smile.

 

I think we will attack so could be a fun game.

 

We prefer teams opening up a bit, best way to beat us is to sit deep and defend and try win it via a set piece.

If we attack we run a great risk of you getting through us on the counter, it's true. Unfortunately we can't defend no matter what we do so we've more chance if we at least go for it, imo.
We can pack our defence, but all that happens is they mill about aimlessly in the box until the ball comes near them then fall over.
Our defending needs a lot of work.

 

I reckon our away support is way better than home cos the real guys at home are spread out between the Norwegians and thaI.

I am recently of the opinion that our club should be sneakily asking season ticket holders about moving those who want to sing more together and getting the foreign tickets away down the other end and let the local crowd sing.

 

Liverpool will start off well , Leicester will catch them on a dangerous counter attack nearly scoring and throw Liverpool off their game , Leicester will slowly wear Liverpool down and win 2 - 1.
