Yep, the best Prem defender without doubt. Over 50 goals too.

We are losing one of the WORLDS best cbs this season and for what?

Even on the bench he would be worth every penny.

I just dont get this, though we have been making poor dexisions as a club for a long time im not entirley surprised by this development.

Terry wanted a decision now and did not want to wait on new manager. Fair enough

'They said that when the new manager comes in, things might change. It's a no at the minute.

'I needed to know now like I have done every January and sometimes it takes a couple of months to get done. Unfortunately it was a no.

    They'll be a U turn with this

For now, you needed to release a positive story to the rest of the Premier League sayng Terry wont be in our league anymore. Its only to deflect from the bad headlines you've been getting for a while though so I wouldnt worry

    Nicely orchestrated by his agent.

He's no Wes Brown or John O'Shea who both had more successful careers with less off field embarrassment/controversy.

I don't know him, I've met him a few times.

I don't get why you find that so odd? There are a number of people who will meet him today as he goes about his daily life. The same is true of every footballer, golfer, politician, postman, carpet fitter, plumber, teacher etc.

If Mourihno stayed he would have had his contract renewed

Possibly, we'll never know. Thing is there comes a time for everyone, and JT isn't the player he was.

Oh come on! He definitely would have stayed. He may not be the player he was but Mourihno repeatedly stated his captain should remain, both publically and to the Chelsea board.

What do you think is next for JT?

But the board may not have approved it. The obvious thing is a move abroad to say USA or China. At least he won't go to another Prem club. I think he'll be back to us in some sort of capacity.

Yeah a move to the US for a year or two for one last pay cheque, then back to the UK with a coaching role at Chelsea probably.
Thing is I agree he should stay, purely because he is a leader, even if he isnt playing, he should be around.
I also agree that he isn't half the player he was a few years ago though, so he should be playing less.

This is a PR stunt though.
The board have said, "Wait until a new manager comes in, we want to see what they have planned", and JT's agent has said "**** you then, we'll go abroad".
You dont offer a 35 year old a new contract in January.

It's just a bit of a shi**y way to leave with his record with the club don't you think!

He is doing this because he wants to leave Chelsea and get paid double over in the US.
His mate Stevie G has been on the blower saying "Yo Jay-Tee, dey pay us a Focchhhing fortune over 'ere like"
So JT wants to leave Chelsea and spend a year in the states without making it look like he is leaving the club, so he is saying "Oh they wont offer me a new contract"
When really he would most likely get one in the summer if he just waited.

    Thats all this is.

Oh yeah. But I also think JT has engineered a bit of a payday for himself. Let's face it, He woiuldn't be playing much next season, whereas in the US, he probably would.
