What should Spurs pay for Berahino in the January window?

  1. Spurs should pay what WBA are demanding!

  1. Ah, yes! Nice twist, Stan.

TBH, going to chess club, if indeed I did still actively partake in such a pastime, wouldn't be such a bad thing. Much better than hanging around the park and getting up to no good, I would have thought.

<laugh> - even if you do 'own' a Chess set .... (metaphorically at least) you've only ever managed to play Draughts on it :emoticon-0136-giggl

  4. I was a fairly decent chess player, once upon a time.

But, there are only so many pastimes a man can indulge himself in to any kind of worthwhile level. My guitar playing and my shooting takes up most of my time. Then, there is the odd round of golf...

All of which you indulged at boarding school.

  6. You seem to have a very negative view of boarding school, Stan.

Did you have a bad experience with it?

No, I just think it's fairly easy to spot people who went to boarding school. You've got pretty much all of the classic traits and clearly I am right!

  8. You're right only if you fall into the trap of believing that the persona I portray on this site is who I am in real life. What I write on this site is the only "evidence" you have to go on, Stan.

You have to ask yourself, has HIAG or has he not been quite deliberate with the kinds of things he writes and posts? And if you think that there might be even the slightest possibility that I have been quite deliberate in the things that I have posted on this site, then you must concede that there is a possibility that I am not who you think I am. Ergo, you cannot be sure of anything regarding me.

So you've deliberately adopted the persona of a dull, clueless, insecure private school twerp?

If I may latch on to the actual football discussion in this thread (sorry everyone, I realise poster personas are far more interesting) but this isn't necessarily true. He may well have been promised something in the past. I'm not ruling out a bad attitude, and on the face of it he has one, but none of us are privy to discussions he's had about his career. They have him on a very low wage (relatively speaking) and so they have not committed to him. Modric claimed he was promised a move by Levy that we went back on when Chelsea came in. We instinctively sided with Levy in that (especially as that way he might stay) but if promises were broken then I can understand a bad attitude. On the other hand Modric and Berahino could just be money grabbing arses.

  12. No one was commenting on Berahino's attitude before Peace mucked him about last Summer.

The lad wants to play football at the very top, hence the reason for him dreaming of Spurs. He has talent, easily as much as Kane does, and he will be an excellent signing for us.

And so what if he leaves us after two full seasons? He'll go either because he's failed to live up to expectations, in which case we'll all be glad to be shot of him; or he'll leave because he's demanded to go to a bigger club who will have to pay Levy a king's ransom to secure his signature.

If, as we all hope, Spurs continue to improve under Poch, there should be no reason for any of our players to want to leave Spurs.

You mean me having to repeatedly ask you to back up your wum claims, which you've bottled time and again.

HIAG thinks making a bellend himself of and bottling out of answering my questions is 'fishing' <laugh>

I should probably post a picture of hundreds of bottles or something at this point ......

Are you sure about that HIAG ? Or is that just another one of your **** ups ?

  15. You could, but it wouldn't be very funny, would it?

  16. “West Brom seem, outwardly at least, happy to bite the bullet and keep him at the club,” says the former Scotland international. “They could wait and get some money further down the line, even if he is out of contract, because of his age.(Matt Elliot, talking to the BBC)

It doesn't seem to stop you.

Are you going to answer my question about this being the first time Berahino's attitude has been questioned ?

Please don't tell me you're going to bottle this one too ?

Why the facepalm, this is a possibility he is after all under contract. I don't think WBA should hang onto him as it's money that could be well spent but I would admire the stance as the little twat hasn't really conducted himself well.

    How about this.

Berahino states he would like to move and puts in a transfer request, the club state a transfer value and negotiations begin, in the meantime he puts on the shirt and does his job. Sounds fair?

Or does he piss the club and fans off by acting like a spoilt idot, refuses to train properly doesn't celebrate any goals. Tries engineering a move by stamping his feet and spitting out his dummy? If I was the WBA owner I'd take the hit and let the ****er rot in the reserves.
