    According to bbc news this morning we've had a bid turned down by Aston Vanilla for him.

    Will he improve us and should we go back in with a higher bid?

    I know he was a decent player but has he gone backwards at Villa.
    Can we get him playing to his earlier level if we get him.

    Yes is the summer on a free. Great player. 10m at his age and with his injury problems is a no.

    Sky sports suggested they were holding out for 10 matey, not sure how much we're supposed to have offered or if we bidded at all

    2 seasons ago I'd have had him but he's been awful this season (hence his side are bottom of the league!) and he's now injury probne too! Shame really as I thought he was a decent player - He's 27 so right in his prime but looks shot! (might have got my vowels mixed up there)
