Can't wait for next round against City now we have some of our mojo back. Ironic that in a season where the Prem is all over the shop as regards shocks, the Cup last 16 is (apart from a couple of exceptions) very strong. Whoever wins it this year will have to do it the hard way.
You have a banana skin there alright ! One of our hardest games last season was at New Meadow in the Capitol 1 Cup. We had a strong team out as well.
I'd far rather play City than Shrewsbury. I don't actually mind too much losing to City as I like to think football belongs to Manchester! At least your game will be rocking, our game will be a media ****fest with the world waiting for us to lose and IF we win the world saying 'well of course they won but they were ****", which will be fair, true and tedious.
Hard to believe your lot have only won it once since 1999, and that was a "gimme" final against The Wall. I can't remember was Rooney with you for that '04 one ?
We battered the Gooners in 05 but lost on penalties. I'm not sure we've really challenged since. Hugely disappointing for a "plastic" like me who grew up on FA Cup wins. Despite being a plastic I'd love to take my lad to a cup final. Rooney joined us after the 2004 Euros so has never won the FA Cup. He never will.
Not sure if it was mentioned on the TV coverage, but some idiot a few rows in front of me, about 5 minutes into the second half, set off a ****ing flare!! Of course the orange bibs descended upon him in droves and he was ejected from the stadium. Idiot. Why travel all that way and pay for a ticket just to do that? He must know flares are banned and his arse will be kicked out as soon as he sets it off, and he got to miss the entire second half knob!
Yeah, probably half the stadium in total were Chelsea or neutral. Other half MK Dons I would reckon. Most of the hardcore Dons fans were in the South Stand, they were the most vocal. Loads of my mates who support Chelsea, United or Arsenal went and sat in the East Stand
Everytime I read a post from you, I think if only you had died at birth, how much this world would be a better place.
