I think he's got 1 or 2 years left at the top level if he gets played in a system that protects him and stops his weaknesses getting exposed. That's if he wants to keep playing at a competitive level though, he will get paid 3x what an Italian club would pay him if he moved to the MLS instead so I wouldn't blame him going down that route instead.

 

Terry would do alright in a slower league for a bit longer. The bloke and his family are complete scum though, so not bothered to see him go elsewhere.

As for Stones, stop the arguing ffs. He is clearly talented, but just in need of a rest/taken out of the limelight.

I think the appeal for people like Gerrard, Terry etc. is that they get to live in a country with a similar culture to what they experience back home and somewhere where they don't have to speak another language and can stick to English while earning a lot of money.

People like Ronaldo & Beckham I think see it more as a route into showbiz and living in America would expose them more to the American public.

Terry and Mo are mega pals. If there's a reason why Terry hasn't got his new deal, it's because Roman doesn't like the fact that Terry backed Jose when it all imploded a few months ago.

I think Terry may struggle to get a deal with an MLS club that he considers to be worthy of his "talent".

They're all about brand over there and his off field record is dreadful. Racism, banging teenagers and his mates' wives, drug dealing dad, shop lifting mum...

If he was a goal scoring midfielder or striker he may be worth a punt but as a blocker whose legs have gone he has limited appeal, especially when you take into account that he'll want to be one of the best paid players in the league.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him move to China. It would be an exciting project and he would be well briefed by Drogba and Ramires.

 

I think he'll easily snag his 4mil a year nominal wage and won't care cos like i say... its ALL about the image rights cheque.

Gerrard got his and now he's completely not arsed to actually play.

I'd predict a rolling one year "star2 type deal for a lot of clubs there.

the thing about terry is... nobody in usa will really pay any attention or generally know about his antics.
