As much as Russ is out of his depth i wouldnt want to see such a great servant to the club go like that.

Really, really hope Ruddy wont leave tomorrow. GK is really not a position I want to see us try and pick a player last minute and try to rush through a deal.

 

Not sure id like to see Delia moving on... perhaps moving aside to let someone else (maye with a little more cash) take majority control? Anyway... it wont be that lol

 

Surely not something demented like, as has been widely rumoured - or at least they've shown a genuine interest, Jerome to Middlesbrough, or something like that?

Boro pulled out on the deal for Rhodes today. Maybe they got wind Jerome could be available after all? Again, I don't want to see that happen either.

At this point are we just fiddling with the squad. How would people feel if the window had closed yesterday? Personally I'd be happy and feel like we are much stronger than when we started.

 

Saw on Twitter, Lafferty loan deal abroad fell apart because he wants to stay in this country. Also Stoke rejected a 10M bid for Diouf from abroad.

Don't know how true, as it's only twitter. Interesting and disappointing if true.

 

Stronger than we started, and I'm not convinced Swansea, Sunderland, Newcastle or Villa have done enough business to really change their current status, which is I guess a reasonable yardstick.

For me it comes down to how good Klose is. If he's the quality CB we crave to come in, and both put in sterling individual performances and organise our defence, then I'll be very happy. If we can't sort our defence for the rest of the season, then I fear Naismith and Bamford may be just rearranging the deck chairs on the titanic.

 

Generally happy with who we have now, but not confident of staying up unless we strengthen midfield.

 

Still think we need another CB, just say Klose gets injured, then we are back to square 1 again - & that don't fill me with great confidence. Do you think if Klose did get injured or a ban, Bassong, Bennett, Martin are good enough to keep us up? i dont think so.

 

Think they could cope better with mre protection in front of them

Like how Naismith was old for 7m and bought for 8.5m (agent fees?) also I thought E Benno was sold to Blackburn not loaned?
