Isn't it a fact that more goals are usually scored in the last ten minutes than any other ten minute period of a game ?

Surely if the last group is 81 to 90+ then it's got more minutes in it than the other groups so it's not surprising that there's more goals! There's other factors like the teams are likely more tired leading to more mistakes, and they are playing more openly than at the start, perhaps with one team going for the winner (meaning either side is probably more likely to score).

Yeah, if you say that there's 3 or 4 minutes time added on in each game, all 10 minutes sections score about 2,500 [in the second half].

About, almost, nearly, it's a funny old game... saying "more goals are scored at the end of the game" is not really true, although it is a little.

I think we probably just remember them more, especially when win or lose you money <grr>

It's well known among gamblers that when late goals cost you it's bad luck, when they win you bets it's what you knew would happen all along :D

I bet Steve Bruce went nuts when they were paired with Arsenal again.

Important to get a home draw at this stage. The game is 3 weeks away, Adebayor will probably have quit Palace by then.

Connor Wickham's ban will have run out in time for the next round. That really helps us, doesn't it?

Let Dier mark him this time around and then we'll see if he wants to throw any flailing arms about!

So, Wickham and Adebayor up front for Palace. I think there will be plenty of booing at the Lane during the game.

Adebayor with a point to prove ??
He has been proving he is an utter c**t most of his career.

It will be a laugh as he tries to work out which end/corner of WHL he should run
to if he scores a (non own) goal.

He won't go anywhere near the Park Lane/Shelf area of the ground.

"He won't go anywhere near the Park Lane/Shelf area of the ground."

    Nor the West Stand.
I have told our newly acquired Korean supporters who sit at the front there
that "Adebayor" in Togolese means "dog" .

    <yum yum>

Ex players often score against Spurs but as with Colchester I cannot see Spurs failing.
