I don't see any logic in dropping Long. Not given his current form, which included a game against Arsenal.

There's a case for dropping Mane for Austin, yes, but I personally wouldn't go down that route either - although I'd have no issue with Ron doing that. Assuming he is fit, the only change I am making is Davis for Tadic. (If Davis isn't, then Romeu for Tadic with Clasie pushed further forward).
I like your reasoning and would start with Austin and Davis and bring on Mane and Tadic after 60 minutes.
The former would cause them a lot of physical problems and then we turn them over with speed and guile!

if you rate Shane on his actual performances for us and forget the fact that he wasn't really rated by many when he joined us and the fact that many thought we over paid for him - he's been bloody brilliant and we keep winning when he plays!!!

And I'm willing to bet his conversion rate is no worse than Benteke's.

For sheer bloody well getting in the defenders face there are few who are better. In the PL, only Costa is arguably more effective, and he uses intimidation to do it. Long is just bloody fearless and will not stop. He will also not pull out of a challenge once he's committed himself. If he has a proper weakness it's his fast link up play with his back to goal. He's not great at laying the ball off to a team-mate without taking too many touches or being accurate. It's possibly a bit late in the day to get him to improve that aspect of his game, but I'd love to know that he's trying. Faced up to the goal he can pass and cross fine, but get him turned around and he's not so good. Well, we have Graziano for that. Probably the PL's best at that part of the game now that Rickie doesn't regularly play.

Personally I think Vardy is the most effective. He sets the whole tone for how Leicester play and never gives defenders a rest. That formula has worked brilliantly for Leicester and it's not a surprise that it's largely worked for us in the guise of Long

Indeed. As much as I love Shane, this season Vardy beats him hands down (and that despite Long having had a decent season for us). He's Long with many more goals. Lethal.

Maybe this game is too soon, but the attack must be geared towards how to get the ball to Austin with the type of delivery that he likes. We will be playing the two guys with the best crossing and just look to keep feeding him. He seems to play best playing with another forward, the only problem is how the hell does Ron play Austin People/Long up front, Targett/Tadic left, Long/Davies/JWP/Mane right, and still keep the defensive 3 at the back in play. Home games could see a 442

Fair play pepys. I'd actually forgotten about Vardy.
