Fuuuuuuuuuucking Lookman cost me £180 for banging in our 4th (£5 @ 35/1 for us to win 3:1) :emoticon-0106-cryin

Although, before a ball was kicked I'd have happily lost a fiver to see us win 1:0 so I'm still a happy bunny :emoticon-0140-rofl:

We won!!!! It shows how far things have gone that a result that would have had me leaping around the house shouting, provoked a happiness and not much more. That was a fantastic result for us. They had a chance to put a foot on our necks and instead, we wrestled free and we can see the survival line again. We apparently played well. Riga has found a Begrdich none of us knew existed. Vetokele appears to be rcovering form a year of injury mismanagement. The defence....... maybe needs strengthening. But we played well yesterday, and won 4-1 away.
The core problems are unchanged. There is no one in the upper echelons who understand football, so Riga, who appears to have taken this job by the scruff of the neck, will be battling against ignorance and apathy at best, when he needs to make decisions. However, at least he seems to be able to make decisions. Peeters and Luzón could'nt or would'nt, and Fraeye will go down in football history as one of the mot surreal football moments since William Webb Ellis picked the ball up and ran with it. Katrien should still be hounded out. The last two years (and I'm certainly not claiming any sort of corner has been turned yet) are a marvel of lies and incompetence, and her ongoing presence shows how far we are from recovery. Plus RD is the same buffoon this morning as he was yesterday. But this morning I'm going to dream a small dream of survival. It's not much. But it's a step forward. For me the protets must go on. But at least we finally hve a manager who seems to me able to manage and react to changing circumstances and react logically. Was it too much to ask for three months ago?

From the highlights and the Bolton game you can see Lookman has a good footballing brain; his movement is fantastic and it's really setting him apart.

Very important to sack Katrien first then. Imagine her negotiating this sale. We'll be lucky to get half a million plus two months loan of that Everton player we had in october.

Same - we keep being told about balancing the books, and Watts payment deferred to the summer. Something has to give.

Like the rest of us. I could not help feeling happy when my team deservedly wins 4-1 away, whatever the opposition (and they had beaten Brighton and Hull since our last league win). But we have had these false dawns before relegation previously. Even if we beat Bristol City we will need a few more wins. We now have 24 points. Forty-four is usually safe (though three years ago Peterborough were relegated with 54 points). Hard to see where we will pick up five or six more wins.

But the real issue is this. Avoidance of relegation will only sustain the RD regime for another season. If you think he has learned a few lessons and will use that reprieve to rebuild on more secure foundations, then fine. But I think he will continue to try and balance the books (a near impossibility in the Championship) while making appalling decisions about playing and non-playing staff. And while we may not lose many current supporters to Palace and West Ham, they will squeeze our potential to attract a new generation.

We may live to regret any wins which keep us up and RD in control.
