Sunderland have opened talks with Bordeaux for Tunisia international Wahbi Khazri. The talented 24-year-old has been on Sunderland's radar for a few months and Sam Allardyce and his scouting team have followed up on those earlier reports after being impressed in recent weeks. Swansea City, Aston Villa and Everton had also followed Khazri who plays across the frontline, behind the striker or cutting in from the left. He is a fiery character, born in Corsica, and has six goals in 13 games for Tunisia. Allardyce needed to move quickly as talks for Andre Ayew stalled with Swansea reluctant to sell and the deal proving too complicated. please log in to view this image +10 Tunisia international Wahbi Khazri (right), who plays for Bordeaux, is the subject of interest from Sunderland Ayew could yet sign a new deal with the Welsh club. Swansea have agreed a fee for Chievo's Alberto Paloschi and are continuing to pursue Dwight Gayle with Crystal Palace pushing for a deal worth up to £9m. Bafetimbi Gomis could yet be offloaded for £7m with Newcastle and clubs in the Middle East still interested, as reported by Sportsmail. Sunderland, meanwhile, are continuing talks with Arsenal over Mathieu Debuchy
Wahbi Khazri is great to watch, he's a bag of tricks. He plays forward left of a front three usually, Borini or Lens would probably occupy that role for you at the minute?
Norwich City, Sunderland target Mile Jedinak? please log in to view this image © Getty Images By Matt Law, European Football Editor Filed: Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 15:36 UK Crystal Palace captain Mile Jedinak has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for both Norwich City andSunderland. The Australia international has been with Palace since 2011 and skippered the Eagles to Championship promotion in 2013. The midfielder has struggled for regular football this season, however, and according to The Mirror, both Norwich and Sunderland are considering launching bids before the winter transfer window slams shut on Monday night. The 31-year-old, who has netted 11 times in 61 games for his national team, has made 16 appearances for Palace this season. Smells like **** this one.
Wenger expects Debuchy to leave Arsenal http://www.sunderlandecho.com/sport...nd-target-mathieu-debuchy-to-leave-1-7703830? Get this Wazabi lad in, plus Debuchy then would have been a very good transfer window imo, If we could get rid of Rodwell, Gomez and Fletcher then it would be an excellent transfer window, best one in ages
Born to the task my sincere apologies mate i'm still smarting off another thread, keep up your great input it makes my day.
BBC reckons De Gea will be bid for again by Real, anyone else reckon he'll leave this time? I think he will, I don't see him being really happy at United and the lure of Real or Barca for a spaniard must be strong. If he does go they'll need to get someone **** hot to replace him as they rely on him a lot.
"I'm surprised Andre is still at Swansea in a way," said Mackay. (Ayew & Gomis' agent) "Sam Allardyce, a manager I have great respect for, made a very good proposal but Swansea have been determined to keep him. "Sam recognised that he is a player of talent and character who has continued to perform well in a struggling side." Apart from the obvious sleight at Swansea the following is well worth looking at :- http://www.hat-trick.fr/ayew-payet-gueye-la-patte-dabedi-pele-et-mark-mckay/ (the accusations are yet to be addressed but ... )
I've been saying the whole time they'll sell if somebody comes close to their valuation. Do we over pay? Would we even be interested now we have Khazri?
I've missed this, where've you seen that one fella? If true, just pay the money for him. Think the Ayew one has gone despite his agents comments yesterday though.
I was reading somewere that the Man City goalkeeper scout had been preparing a report on Pickford - he had watched him 5 times when he was on loan to Preston. The article was genuine i think because it had quotes from the scout. Listening to Pickford though he sounds like playing for us was the best thing that has happened to him so we may be able to hang onto him for a few years yet.
It's been very busy in the North East over the final days of the transfer window, with Sunderland and Newcastle looking to recruit talent to help them fight each other in a relegation battle. Both clubs are prepared to do what it takes to stay in the Premier League this season, and the recruitment looks like it's set to continue into the final day of the transfer window. Sunderland, just like their neighbours, have stepped up a recruitment system in France and that's seen incomings already during the current window. There's one who Sunderland are still eyeing, and that's Chiekh N'Doye of Angers. The club captain has said he's willing to stay with Angers for the rest of the season, but that hasn't stopped interest, and Sunderland sent a representative to watch him last night against Monaco, according to French newspaper L'Equipe. N'Doye scored 2 goals, taking his tally for the season to 8, and Angers beat Monaco 3-0. Maybe one to keep a deadline day eye on.
According to the BBC Website the Mags are bidding 21 million for Barahino, and John Terry is ready to leave Chelsea but not till the end of the season. If the Mags secure Barahino at that price you can't say they are not doing everything to secure their Premiership status, even though that has,to be 6-10 million over the top. I'd take Terry if he,came to us tomorrow.
