I doubt he will have been promised playing time but I think he would be told he gets a fair crack at it. Especially if we're buying not renting.

Just a loan by the looks of it, no mention of an option to buy.
Hopefully means there's money left for another signing. His wages will be covered by the Hooper departure I'd think.

Sounds like a sensible deal - gives him a chance to establish himself (providing he gets game time) and we get a good chance to look at him with maybe a permanent deal to follow.

Is this the end of Lafferty do we think ?

Hopefully another CB and a DM are still in AN's sights.

Got to be, hasn't it? Behind Mbokani, Jerome, Naismith and now Bamford in the pecking order, we don't need a fifth striker in a single striker system. Hopefully we can get a permanent deal for him to join Leeds, or Belgrade or whoever else will take him.

    I sincerely hope so.
One of each would probably make it the most joyous transfer window we've ever had! <ok>

I thought his behaviour when Boro came to us on that Friday night in the championship was appalling, diving, feigning injury, time wasting etc. Not the Norwich Way, but, I think he would be a good acquisition for us, he's quick, direct and scores goals. I think he would be another Naismith type.
But whats worrying me at the moment is Spurs are on their way and our defence/midfield hasn't been strengthened, they could slaughter us if we put in
    performance's like Bournemouth and Liverpool.

It may not be the Norwich way but it is the premier league way and if we get 3 penalties out of him before the end of the season we are playing the same scheming, dirty, bastardised form of footy that the rest of the powder puff, cheating, scumbags are. It doesn't make it right or palatable, but when in Rome do what the filthy, lion feeding, slave slaying Romans do!

    Bah!

Perhaps he can show Redmond how to get into the 'forbidden' penalty area and win penalty's??? I'd rather not see us win that way but...............<devil>

For what it's worth, I've seen a lot of him in the youth team and reserves. I feel that we should be taking a chance with him and giving him a run of games. He knows where the goal is, without doubt. I don't know how much game time he'll get with you guys but if he gets a decent run of games, I'd back him to get the goals. Good luck to you both. <ok>

Reasonably happy, as it's just a loan.
Now all we need to do is add another DM and possibly a CB - especially as Tettey is likely to be on 10 yellows soon and so miss 2 games!!!!

That's really kind, buddy - thank you <ok>
We know how good he was at Middlesbrough last year, and they were up there at the top of the table, so the transition from there to a lower <wah> prem side shouldn't take too much adjustment.

It's likely that AN sees him to replace the Grabban option up front, but it's useful that he can also play at AM. Considering that he never got a start at Palace, it's hard to judge how he'll do in the PL. Lafferty will most likely be allowed to move on now but I doubt that we'll sign a CB now that Klose has come in - 5 options to cover there are surely enough. A DM is possible if Mulumbu leaves, but otherwise I'd think our business is done for this window, which I think has been very good.

    Another forward, that's excellent.

A few more exciting 5-4 defeats before our inevitable relegation then. :emoticon-0105-wink:

I refer you to the one and only Grant Holt who lets face it wasn't a saint when it came to such behaviour and we all loved him. Providing it's not too ridiculous and it doesn't get him sent off etc and he pulls it off in a GH way then let him get on with it
