Ok so we are in the mire at the moment in terms of our position. But we appear (at least if you believe the media) to be taking it seriously and trying to bring in the right players for the right positions. I am feeling optimistic. That's a weird thing as for the last three years I've just felt numb. But I'm actually starting to get a little bit of hope coming into my life. If we can get this althletico left back on loan. Doumbia and gomis. That would be a bold statement by the club. I actually think mclaren is trying to fix the problems. I need to take my medication admittedly but anyone else starting to feel a little bit more optimistic. P.s no negativity please I'm being genuinely optimistic.
Who are not that good at home at the moment. And they play carlisle (where I live) in the cup tomorrow and will lose. They will be **** for confidence.
There is nothing to be optimistic about. This is not so different to the January we signed Sissoko and co, simply our awful predicament forcing a temporary change in behaviour from MA.
Yes but prior to that January we had not strengthened in the previous transfer window. Ashley said he would spend over the next couple of transfer windows in his now infamous interview and he has done. This is something of a rare thing from him. Actually doing something that was promised. So this is why I am optimistic. I know we will not storm up the table. But we are one or two players away from being able to drag ourselves out of the mire... THIS is what I am optimistic about. What happens next is really down to the club! One step at a time and action after action will fix the mess that admittedly they have created.....
I agree completely. Gomis is bang average and wont get the goals we need. Shouldn't be fannying around re Berahino. £18million on the table but they want £25million? Fine - pay it if he's what we need. If we don't get a goalscorer we'll be losing a lot more than that extra £7million when we get relegated.
Apparently, they have said that they wont sell to us as we are a relegation rival. I'd go as far as to say that we should be willing to pay more than the £25 million to make them risk it and sell.
This is how MA, Charnley and co should be thinking. Or outbid Leicester and sign Remy on a permanent for around £12million. Not Gomis though. He's worse than an unknown quantity like Doumbia - Gomis has proven that he is not prolific in the Premier League.
Remy does not want to be here.''Sheveley is ****'' and ''townsend a tossa who has never played''....these were the general coments made on here a few weeks back...Gomis...i dont know but given the chances nitro bitch has had i reckon he would of converted at least half of them.....Lets try and be positive if we sign he tbh he is better than what we have.....
I was feeling really optimistic after the West Ham game, but soon got brought back to earth. Newcastle United have got years of experience in that department. I'd love us to get Remy, even though I despise the twat, Cahill and Gibbs and I'd be a happy man.
Despite our position I'm glowing warmly. I feel wrong and dirty saying that. Just like if I'd been caught bashing the bishop over one of my dads old VHS US skin flicks from the 80's. Stroll on baby.
