First good days jump racing of the season id say, lot of short prices but good racing. Im with Up For Review as well, think hes going to be some chaser next season. Fancied Barters Hill for the Neptune trial but I was too impressed by Up For Review last time and he looks the value in a coin toss. If I fancied Barters Hill id bet him in running because ill be surprised if Up For Review doesnt look to be going miles better at the business end, Barters Hill just keeps grinding though so I wouldnt be counting chickens too early in this race.

I don't get much info sent my way but it just so happens I was sent a tip for Duke of North this morning. Got on at 13/2 now into 4/1 favourite.
When Vaniteux hits the front he idles too much, wont have that problem in the Arkle though with Douvan but giving he will likely shorten now, Ar Mad is definitely the bet at this point.
Well, on paper before the race you'd have said Vaniteux fans for the Arkle would be very happy with a win over Shaneshill and Arzal, but in the end I'm probably left with more questions than answers. He didnt jump anywhere near as well as I hoped although was better at the last two and galloped to the line, even though Arzal did come trying to fight back. 3 runs, 2 wins and a 2nd and next stop the Arkle, but no way would you say on that evidence that he could beat Douvan.
Not so sure. Maybe a bit of skulduggery from Mr Mullins. Remember Wicklow Brave last year. Ran like an absolute hound before hand and then hosed up in a handicap at the festival. They don't seem sure about Shaneshill's optimum trip.

15:35 Cheltenham - Ptit Zig (I'm the first to say that I do intend to favour a chaser returning to hurdles, especially when the ground is heavy, the track testing, and the horse can handle both plus the distance. So, that's it for the Saturday bet, selection should handle this bog OK, and might, only 'might' must admit, surprise Thistlecrack. Still fancy the latter strongly for the World Hurdle at the Festival regardless of what happens to day. So, it's 7/1 freely available).
