Big signing that for Boro if it comes off..

I cant help but feel a little bit pissed off with city... we always seem to miss out on quality strikers.. we had the chance to sign Austin, failed his medical but has since massed 2 other medicals for other clubs.. we almost signed Rhodes but weren't willing to pay what Blackburn wanted... and then the icing on the cake this season was missing out on Gray, when we had the fee agreed and backed out of the deal.. all 3 players would have seriously improved us and either possibly keet us in the prem or would definitely help get us promoted..

I only read the other day some PL team had offered £12 million for him & Blackburn were moving the posts again & wanting more.
Let's see if this one actually happens!

Although its disappointing to see how well Austin has done since his failed medical here, can you imagine the abuse the club would've got on here had we signed him and his knees had been Bullard - like? A deal was on for Rhodes last year and he wanted to come, but suddenly Blackburn changed their minds and called the deal off or upped the price (or both). We couldn't sign Gray without moving Jelavic or N'doye first so our hands were tied there. Agree with your final point, but we aren't doing too badly despite missing out on the aforementioned targets.

The Allams have always put their hands in their pocket. The reason for their not doing so this time around with so much at stake (finances of 2016/17) might be down to one of a few things. 1. Their disdain for the way they have been supposedly treat including in the privacy of their own home (conjecture I know) .. 2. There is a potential takeover in the offing with heads of terms and price perhaps agreed which would stop any further personal investment on Allams part .. (again conjecture) 3… in the event that the club aren't promoted we haven't entered into an unmanageable financial meltdown.

Lancashire telegraph reporting Rhodes has left the team hotel tonight and gone to Middlesbrough for a medical, they reporting it as 11million the fee.

Still the only two Boro players who would get in our fully fit first 11, even if they sign Rhodes, are Downing and Ramirez. We're still better than them, just light up front if anything happens to Hernandez.

    Have to agree.
Not as simple as just paying for Grey and Austin.
You make rules then stick to them, or madness lies on the path of you no limits.
Grey was down to us needing to shift wages and a player, so we stalled and it went south. That's life.

It's disappointing to see rivals making big money signings when City don't, but in reality we have a team that should be favourites to beat virtually all (if not all) opposition put in front of us in this league.
We won't be playing against Rhodes, Gray and McCormack every week and even if those three top the scoring charts, promotion will go to the most consistent team, not necessarily the one with the highest scorer.

Promotion is in our own hands and if our players play to their potential for the rest of the season we will go up.

I'm not one to throw names about and make up false rumours but I have heard we have shown interest in an argentine named Sebastian Druissi (I may of spelt that wrong) there's no value as of yet, just interest.

Not sure why we're not trying to get Bamford now, and if that falls through get Powell in the emergency loan window, since there's not much other interest in him.

It doesn't send out a good message to them we might want, either.

Or lack of transfer nous. The right player did move out, the wrong player moved in. That's life at the KC, maybe.

In all honesty, I'll be happy to keep the squad as it is. If we buy, we need to buy premier league quality (to be worthwhile next season) and getting that sort of player to come to the championship is a big ask. Hopefully no one is coming in for our current players. I also have faith (blind) that if Hernandez gets injured then Diamonde and Akpom can step up. Put a recall clause in any loan for Luer and I believe we'll be fine.

Thats the one! Tottenham were interested in 2014. He has Played 18 games and scored 14 this season, where is your knowledge, of him playing less games than Luer? He also plays for Argentina youth team and scores regulary. All I know is we are very interested.
