    Hizmo.
    I have no recollection of any Liverpool fan making any of those comments.Its as fictional as Liverpool fans allegedly saying ''Next year is our year''.
    The reason being is they are rediculous.Even more rediculous than suggesting Wayne Rooney is world class.Wayne Rooney and world class should never appear in the same sentence.Before anyone says I'm ''Trafford baiting''.I'm just using an example.

    Read it again.Its says ''How next year can be our year''.
    The key word being ''How''.Which means there is a possibility which means there is a chance.It is not a definite statement.
    Its like saying I could win the lottery at the weekend instead of saying I will definitely win the lottery at the weekend.

    When a statement uses a word like that,it changes the statement from a definite to a possibility.

    Dunno, you would have to take that up with the OP.

    I can't recall anyone else blatantly coming out with 'next year is our year'. It is a punchline created by rival fans <ok>

    Didn't one of your players (Skrtel IIRC) say it after the 08/09 season? I.e. we just missed the PL this year but next year we will win it. And I'm sure Gerrard made some comment about "we won't be saying next year is our year when I turn 32"

    He may of done, i cant recall it.

    Even if he did, he was probably caught up in the moment of coming close. The usual accusations about 'our year is next year' are always directed at what our fans say, and like i said - i am yet to hear that (in a serious context) from any serious fan of Liverpool.

    Re: the whole "next year is our year" thing, that phrase is rarely used but the sentiment often is. I can hardly remember a season go by when Liverpool fans weren't predicting that they would achieve some specific goal that they then failed to achieve, whether it was top four or winning the PL or winning a trophy or whatever. Admittedly not all Liverpool fans, but there are always some that get their expectations up...
