Cheers 9's, being more armchair than boots on the ground these days I feel it best leaving it to you more qualified guys. Before long though I could be a Grandfather figure and come on telling you stories from days of yore! Watching Rangers play in Europe and a few Cup Finals........aaahhhh those were the days!
Strangely enough Wherever post #24 predicted 148 one and a half hours before you rtid. Do you want to make another prediction?
Thank you IWAWAR again for the tickets and the competition,,,, I would like to have a go at the slightly low number of 153...Cheers999s

If the same average goals-per-game is maintained, we're looking at 147.25 total, which would make... TimPR78 the winner! Well, that's all hypothetical at the moment, because one extra goal would take it to Wherever!
I'll take Sticks estimates with a cheeky little offside half a goal on the 98th minute on top...please
Good luck Beth. Without wishing to prejudice future competitions and fun over the course of a season you do get a fairly consistent average of goals per game in all leagues and competitions. I am sure many of you are gamblers and are well aware that in most football matches the bookies will bet on number of goals being over or under 2.5 in the game. Sadly for my calculation there have been a few postponed matches in the list so it is highly likely that my guess (informed calculation) will be higher than the end total....but you never know. Looking forward to a good old 5-5 draw somewhere today!
