Look at what Tintin is missing because of a self-imposed exile. STATS!

The Dele Alli one is remarkable.

Have we mentioned Vertonghen out for a couple of months? That could seriously derail Spuds title ambitions. Wonder if they'll go out and buy.

De Bruyne being assessed today, but could have a serious injury.

    http://www.skysports.com/football/n...ile-manchester-uniteds-old-trafford-is-bottom

Goodison is the place to be if you want to see goals, but best to avoid Old Trafford as goals are rare there. ManU has a good defence (which is why during a disappointing season they are still fifth), but United fans expect entertainment. Building from the defence makes sense for up and coming clubs, but Reds' fans think they should be further on than that. Shame, innit? :)

Van Gaal has defended himself against questioning during a press conference:

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35431777

I know we've had this discussion before, but I have a lot of sympathy with his point of view. He's talking about having to answer to stories that simply have no foundation. A reporter put it to him about him offering to resign after the Saints defeat.
Tbh, I don't think a football manager should have to sit through that kind of stuff. I'm not interested and I doubt if most people are either. It's supposed to be in the public's interest. Really ? Does he save lives ? Is he responsible for the country's GDP ? No. Actually, it's just more of a case of there being a perceived fascination in watching people squirm.
The other day Ronald said I'll repeat it 80 times if you like ? [no one will leave] That stopped the questioning. :)

Odd that Atkinson is supposed to have blown for a foul throw when the ball hadn't even been thrown. Might look that incident up.

EDIT: Hmm, ball looks very much out for the second ManC goal. The foul throw thing was because Everton were taking an age to throw it. So Atkinson awarded it to the other side. I've seen that done before. Can't see too much to complain about there. But the second goal is very bad. Things is, the present rules still allow for human error.

"BBC Sport contacted Professional Game Match Officials, the body which represents Premier League referees, but it declined to comment."

Just my opinion, but they need to be made to comment, when games are so clearly being affected by inaccurate refereeing/linesman decisions.
It doesn't even need to be the actual ref/lino, just a representative from the body, putting forward the officials reasons for missing/making decisions.
