This is a very interesting strategy - are the owners spending the Ighalo money before we've even sold him?
Watford could make a permanent move for Nathan Ake, the Mirror reports. Ake has been on loan at Watford for the first-half of the season, establishing himself as first-choice left-back for the Hornets. He has been an exceptional performer for Quique Sanchez Flores’ men, with the 20-year-old scoring his first goal for the club in the 3-0 win over Liverpool. A versatile option, Ake is highly rated by parent club Chelsea, and has been tipped to become a full Dutch international in the future. Due to the youngster’s success at Vicarage Road, it is reported that the Hornets could swoop on deadline day to tie Ake down to a permanent deal. The Mirror report indicates that the Hornets are weighing up a formal bid for Ake, with a £10 million price tag mooted. That is a large price to pay for Ake, but he is extremely highly rated, and has been living up to his reputation this season.
That would be a superb signing if we could get him permanently. I just don't think Chelsea will sell.
No, just spending TV revenues. Need to make sure we don't make too big a profit and can make some inter group losses on player trading I would think in order to keep the tax man away next year....
Watford have agreed to release Lloyd Dyer from the remainder of his contract at Vicarage Road but Adlene Guedioura will not be leaving the club today, we are told.
With Guedioura, I get the feeling that QSF actually likes him and his enthusiasm. I suggest that he will give Guedioura more time to adapt and that if he is playing no part in QSF's project currently then he would have left during this window.
Denis Cheryshev - Seems to be some confusion over weather we are interested in this striker from Real Madrid or not... There has been a suggestion that we will sign the French lad but send him back out on loan which would seem a bit strange considering he is going to cost quite a bit.
If money is a measure then the Pozzo's certainly seem to making sure we stay in the EPL. John Terry will be at a loose end in the summer, perhaps we can tempt him over the hedge - he should be looking over it jealously whilst training
