I believe after getting Tomlin today, if we could get Smith and Dack, a big IF i know, what should we be willing to pay to get them.
We offered 6-9 million for Gayle and Gray, so what should we be prepared to go to , to get these two?
I think we should go 1.5-2m for Dack, and 1-1.5 for Smudger.

    Over to you peeps...............................

Dack 1.5 million will be ours.

Smith 1.75 million will have to drop his wages i think.

Not so sure 1.5m will be enough, bloody hope so though. alledgedly thats what we've offered now! you think Smudger will cost more than Dack too, interesting

Really think matt smith would score the goals to keep us up.
Put gladwin, dack,k smith in the middle that will do nicely.

We've apparently been taking the piss with bids so realistically speaking I'd say we'd get them for bids like this

Dack - Anything lower than 2 million would probably seen as taking the piss so 2 million might get him

Smith - I'd say 2.5/3 million, anything lower would get rejected

But you've never seen him on the wing? Don't think I've ever seen him cross the ball either?

Dack has got to be £2m plus I think to tempt Gillingham to sell him and even then, we still have to get him to come here but a meeting with SL should sort that if the lad has ambition...

Regards Smith, absolute folk hero for us last year but the most he has ever gone for allegedly is £800,000 (and some have it as less at £500k) so, I wouldn't be offering anything much more than £1m as in the nicest possible sense, I don't think there is a big queue for a player who has only started a total of 33 games in the league at this level (total record 18 goals in 71 games total)

But you've still never seen him play there, so how can you prefer him as winger than striker?

True rod but his pace is fantastic, skins player for fun,but his ability to score goals is not so great.
I see him more in the Adomah role.

    He's our top scorer..

If we can get a Matt Smith type battering ram he will fill his boots..

If he goes out wide we may as well sell him.. he was a central striker For Angers when we bought him from the form he showed (top scorer in the league) saying he can't score is nonsensical..

He does score, but he has to have 5/6 chances to score one.
A main striker needs to take his chances ,more like 1 in 3.
But i reckon he would do well in the Adomah mould.
Boro aint doing to bad with him creating and scoring goals.
