Stop making anymore threads dedicated to one persons death, and put them on here. RIP - Footballers - Pavel Actors - Alan rickman Musicians - Lemmy David Bowie As the thread goes on, I will create a list and update it.
Tash. People can make whatever threads they want fella. If you don't like a rip thread then a simple solution is to not click on it. The same way some may not like my match threads or your gaming threads and will ignore likewise.
There's too many popping up and it's taking attention away from other topics, just to hear that someone died, and for us all to say "RIP". If you keep on allowing these, then our board will soon become a respect to the dead board. I see no reason why we can't have a thread where we report deaths, and don't allow any more death threads, except ones that are closest to home like if Alan Shearer died. Then fair enough. But if it's just some musician that most of us never gave a **** about or heard of, then why have another thread on the board about it? The mackem board is a ****fest because they allow people to post whatever threads they want. People will literally create threads for every goal scored. There should be some substance in a topic and it should be able to generate decent conversation, not just "this dude is dead", and then everyone say "rest in peace, horrible news". We can do that on this thread.
This is nearly as bad as one of your 'my take on the match' threads. Its your own view. Not the view of many. Lets start an of topic thread complaining about of topic threads. Bellend cheese.
Albert - you are absolutely correct. I think I speak for all when I say people don't like your match day threads.
I agree with Tash on one hand but on the other I also can't stand all the other seriously off topic threads but as ACS says I don't click on them, simples!
Tash may be onto something here though. We could keep our board a lot tidier if we just had one thread where we posted everything. This would serve several useful purposes: 1. It would make it easier to read unread posts every morning. Instead of seeing several unread threads you just open the one and work your way through. 2. It would confuse the fxck out of Nev trying to find the predictions and compile the results for the Prediction League and FA Cup Prediction competitions. 3. It would mean ACS no longer has to recycle his entries in the Headline Competition from previous seasons - he can just provide a link to the post from the previous year. 4. We wouldn't have to keep repeating how crxp our defence is on different match day threads. 5. Mitrosexual would be able to limit his subtle digs at McLaren and his love-ins with Pardew to just the one thread instead of every blxxdy thread I open. I think the idea needs to be looked at in more detail.
R.I.P my beloved pet buffalo who sadly died yesterday. Some bastard who didn't know the difference between a buffalo and a bison tried to wash their hands in him.
I am all for freedom to post any thread you want. I hate the RIP threads, people die all the time. However some people like them so I just don't pass comment most of the time. Now and again the individual will have something in their life/career worth discussing. I think as long as those posting the RIP threads also accept that people can post what they like about that person on the thread without getting their knickers in a twist, then people should be free to do as they please. So I reckon Tash is wrong. And should be entered by Turkey Toon as a result.
It could be worse Tash - you could be a mackem and have to wade through pages of 'I've just farted', 'stop making I've just farted threads', 'didn't realise someone had already created an I've just farted thread' and 'what is a fart?' threads.
Leave it to the individual you don't have to read or contribute if you don't wish to, as for off topic threads they are fine by me as they can lighten it up a bit and allow for more banter at times.
