Good Morning Everyone, I remember the times that we'd be satisfied with returning back from a midweek game against a top 10 side with a point. And that was only last season!!! What has changed? Have our expectations heightened? Why? I also remember continually getting thumped by 4 or 5 goals a game. Is that happening any more? No! Surely we have become a lot harder to beat? How many times have we been beaten by more than one goal? Is this not progress? I see that Boro have just signed Ramirez on loan from Southampton (a 12m signing when arriving on the South Coast). They are also after McGreedy who has handed in a transfer request at Craven Cottage! Are we not going to be satisfied until we reach these standards? Supposing it all goes pear shaped for Boro, and they don't go up? What then? Going back to the game last night, here are some comments from Evans. Re: The second-half tackle on Antenucci was a penalty. "In any other game that’s a penalty kick, unless you’re Leeds United." Very happy with Diagouraga's impact tonight. Morning ristac, I agree with you. Its getting a little long in the tooth now. Wood aggravated his hamstring. Could be precaution. He walked off the field. We'll know more today
Good away point against a team pushing for a top 6 spot. We need to accept, we are what we are, and need to build slowly. Fed up with all this "we are Leeds we should not be happy with a point against little teams like Brentford". We are no longer anyones cup final, most teams expect to beat us.
I made a point yesterday that we generally have a 6/7 nil thrashing once a season. That does not look like happening this year, that's a small bit of progress . The team must be doing something right as we have a defence and goalkeeper who are always one kick away from a clanger yet we are not conceding more than one or two goals a match. Evans, and I can't believe I'm about to say this, is no fool. He knows where he needs to strengthen next season. If we keep being hard to beat and have a firm base to build on then hopefully the mad eye tie will back him. If we keep on like this Evans could go on to be the longest reigning manager ever under Cellino.

Morning Hemase, to my way of thinking, Evans does not over complicate things, and does the basics well. He makes the right noises at the right times. For me, (and I've said this before) we need players that are going to get stuck in. We want opponent to know they have just been to Elland Road, and not fancy going into the next 50 / 50 challenge. The bridge between success and failure at this level is fine, and we need to press home our home advantage
what do you think of the Ramirez signing? Great move for Boro IMO. Also Brighton have strenghened well, Knockhart doing well as expected
Ramirez is an amazing signing at this level if he can sort out his own head. But as a loan, there's little risk. I remember 60 always rated Knockeart...
Morning all. Evans is right what he says regarding the way we're treated by the authorities. He's only saying what a lot of Leeds United fans think. Should he say it, IMO no. Delighted(sorry for my positiveness) in our 2nd half performance which we deserved a point. Would love to get McGeady, I know it won't happen, but IMO he could be the catalyst like Vinny or Strachan to get us going in the right direction..
We had that with M.Brown and fans were calling him a liability..think I might have said that myself about him..
