Same **** as the DM thread, topic of science and you show up, start talking about the DM thread and then start your copy paste partisan competitive ego driven version of debate, and here you are again, blabbing about anything other than the topic, because this is what you thrive on.

Come in start ****, make nonsensical arguments copy and paste and disappear, rinse and repeat.
Obviously you are driven to disagree with me, try do it with an actual argument rather than copy paste the work of other and pretending you know what you are talking about.

Then you wonder why I want such a negative force blocked from this thread?

I liked you better when you were MFG

Because you know damn well that any argument you put forward is fine, I answer it, when you include your "conspiracy" crap or make it about me, a common thing, it goes bad from there, I answered your posts today re the topic without a hint of ire or belligerence, n0ot your bitter post about the other thread being closed tho. Or your #endof ****e to an imaginary argument you were having about starch and blood.

Of course the long post I made about the relation of kinetic energy does not interest you.. just anything you can hop on and distort

I only asked for you to be blocked from this thread after you brought up the other thread and had a potshot at me <laugh>

Chronology lad. You as usual start it and cry when I respond as if you are a lost old harmless man who doesn't know what why I am irked <ok>

and no, being a ranty lunatic and then deciding it was a joke afterwards, after months of drivel on the other thread. What dreamworld do you live in

    The pretense of ignorance.

First post right off the bat was to reference to the closing of the other thread. Pretty obvious.

I said that at the very start of this ****in thread. To no avail
    @astroturfnaut
I clearly hold no grudge as proven by interactions on other threads, so obviously there is no grudge <ok>

I'd prefer no handbags and "rivalry" on this one thanks

The worst thing about this "rivalry" is that I always enjoy when Astro gets the natives all restless with his shenanigans, and I cant when the **** is annoying me <laugh> I get #bitter

    Here's an interesting article
    http://www.childmind.org/en/posts/articles/2013-10-29-why-do-kids-have-tantrums-and-meltdowns

Now I don't have kids although we (wifey) both come from large families so have seen plenty of these although not usually when we are baby sitting etc and thats probably because we dont need to challenge them in anyway, yet I have seen one lad in particular have numerous meltdowns over petty stuff like being asked to show his working out on his maths homework.

Most of us probably knew a kid that would actually take his ball and storm off when not given the penalty or because nobody passed them the ball, that same kid would then see his arse even more when people on his own side would tell him it wasnt a pen! next game would start off with all good intentions and instructions about no goal hanging etc but it would more often than not fall apart again with everyone else being to blame, leaving us to wait until we could scrape 50p together to buy a fly away!

Over the years "experts" have come up with all sorts of theories re the causes and solutions of child like tantrums, society at large tends to go with what they say eg stopping corporal punishment in schools and that brings me to my point; why do we believe these psychologists who give this advice, can we truly call psychology a science?

did that subject two decades ago mate, it lowers male fertility, so much of the stuff in the water in Manhattan for example causes thousands of blokes to have bad swimmers every single year<ok>

I received corporal punishment at school, which involved a slap of a ruler on the hand.. TERRIBLE <laugh> It did me no harm at all, thing is though, I have seen teachers take it way over the top, as in "have you got your homework" "no sir" 10 year old lad gets choked up against the blackboard. This I seen in my own class.

On the flip side, teachers take so much abuse now that they snap. Like yer man that flipped out and smacked that kid around with a dumbell <yikes> Kids smell weakness and a powerless teacher is seen as weakness by many little ****s. I'd imagine the ones who are the worst do not fear any repercussions at home.. which brings us to the whole thing of Parents expecting schools to raise their kids better than the parents are themselves

The tantrum one is interesting, I put it down to a learning curve, you need to learn to deal with disappointment, in a normal kid\family situation. Kids dont have that rationale yet, so a tantrum is pretty normal. They also dont understand patience.

Sadly some never learn this right into early adulthood, and some even then never learn it <laugh>
    #notanexpert

    Just my own experience.

Tantrums come from the lizard brain.. and the neo cortex has not been filled enough at a young age to override that primitive part of your brain maybe?
Mind you the primitive part of the brain is why we survived as a species. Sadly it still rules many people all through their lives

All of our primitive responses comes from that part of the brain. I'd class meltdowns a primitive response

Yeah I recently read an article about those that carry on acting like that into later life can actually have under developed brains. There is definitely something in the DSM 5 that describes adult temper tantrums but obviously gives it a scientific sounding name backed up by likely causes from childhood.

Did you not know a kid who used to take his ball home or "accidentally" tip the monopoly board over because they were losing!
