Need to sort out our left both Konchesky & Fer were useless again.

Whatever Yun's done forgive him & get Chery to start instead of Fer

From the texts and stats it sounded like we did pretty well, hit the woodwork and came close. Didn't they just beat Boro too?

Forest haven't conceded for something like 340 odd minutes now.

Listen to the radio and they said Hoilet did well, Keeper made 3 great saves, polter cannot control a ball with his feet and Ned switches off at times (shock there)!
Interesting comments at the end by Parry saying JFH has only won once in 11 games and he is 5 points worse than Benny after 11 games. He also said that the club sends out wrong signals to fans as they keep changing the goal posts (Benny was told to consolidate then sacked because they expected promotion then consolidation under JFH). Other guy says the team should be doing better and need a clear out of (Fer/Sandro/Phillips/Hoillet).

Michael Mancienne's header is saved by Alex Smithies as Forest were denied a goal which would have earned them a fourth win in five games

Nottingham Forest extended their unbeaten run to 13 matches but they were shut out by plucky QPR.

Ben Osborn struck the left-hand post for the Reds before Robert Tesche saw his 25-yard strike hit the bar.

The R's went close when Dorus de Vries pushed Alejandro Faurlin's curling free-kick on to the woodwork.

Chances were at a premium in the second half, with Forest Oliver Burke wasting the best of them after being released by fellow substitute Jamie Ward.

Both goalkeepers were the main factor in a lively contest remaining goalless and preventing Forest from repeating their surprise weekend victory at promotion-chasers Middlesbrough.

De Vries twice thwarted Junior Hoilett in the opening period, the first of which saw him dive full stretch to tip an angled drive around the right-hand post.

But Smithies was not to be outdone, touching over Michael Mancienne's far-post header following Tesche's right-wing corner and also keeping out a low drive from Nelson Oliveira, who had scored in six of his previous seven games at the City Ground.

With just under half an hour to go, transfer-window signing Conor Washingtonwas brought on as the Londoners continue to adjust to life without striker Charlie Austin.

Both sides pushed for a winner, but Burke dragged an effort wide after cutting in from the right and the visitors' Leroy Fer headed well over.

The draw means the R's have won just once in 11 attempts since the appointment of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and they have still never won at Forest in 32 attempts.

Forest manager Dougie Freedman's frustration will be drawn from the fact their long unbeaten run in all competitions has contained seven draws.

Liverpool v Stoke - League Cup, going to penalty shots - Stoke's 1st win at Anfield since 1959, so we still have hope at the City Ground.

As for keepers, I would almost prefer Butland over Mignolet, but that's only half of the play.

    Crouch misses!

    Chan hits the post!

    Mignolet another save

    Liverpool edge it.

Watching that shoot out got me nervous and I have no real allegiance with either side...not sure how I'd cope if that was Rangers.

I think Smithies could be the next QPR goalkeeping legend, getting better by the game

Chris O'Grady came back into the starting XI for Forest against QPR
Dorus de Vries:Made some terrific saves, particularly to deny David Hoilett (twice) in the first half. Showed great reactions. 8

Eric Lichaj: The American's 100th appearance for the club was much like the majority of his others – solid and composed. Model of consistency. 7

Jack Hobbs: Played his part in a decent game for the back four, helping to keep QPR at bay when they had spells of pressure. 7

Matt Mills:The skipper led by example by making some good blocks. Can be happy with the clean-sheet. 7

Bojan Jokic: Continues to look assured in the left-back spot. Has settled into Championship life very well. 7

Ryan Mendes: Unable to really influence the game as much as he would have liked. Took one for the team with his booking to stop a QPR attack. 6

Michael Mancienne: Another very assured display in the defensive midfield role and drew a superb save from Alex Smithies early on. 8

Robert Tesche:Was excellent alongside Mancienne and had a couple of top efforts from range which weren't too far away. 8

Ben Osborn: Particularly impressive in the first half, both in tracking back and going forward. The woodwork was his nemesis once again. 7

Chris O'Grady: Toiled away up front and had a couple of efforts at goal, but didn't really look like being the man to break the deadlock. 6

Nelson Oliveira:Didn't really happen for the front man. Had the odd half-chance, though struggled to cause QPR too many problems. 6

    Subs

Jamie Ward (for O'Grady, 55): Got involved straight away and almost carved out an opening for Oliver Burke. 7

Oliver Burke (for Mendes, 55): Immediately got the crowd on their feet and added a much-needed spark. 7

Dexter Blackstock (for Oliveira, 83): Didn't have too long to make an impact as the game petered out. 6

Subs not used: Evtimov, Wilson, Cohen, Gardner.

It certainly seems that way, Ingram on the bench now - Green is history.

You wonder how things might have been if McCarthy had been given a similar opportunity to build his confidence with a run of games.

As someone who was there to see us lose 5-0 a few years ago I'd have been delighted with what sounded a deserved draw. They were 12 games unbeaten and just beat Boro away.

Well .................. we didn't lose and we continued our 'mid table' target.
Another point in the bank, good.
    Liverpool go through, good.
