    Better than we were last season, and Arsenal are looking like losing Fabregas and Nasri are leaving, which will make them significantly weaker than last season.

    Torres top scorer?<laugh> If you have seen any of Chelsea's preseason games, you would know he can't hit the broadside of a barn, and this is against teams that Liverpool scored 6 against! Chelsea's players looked horrible bar one or two. Arsenal still look weaker than last year, and Tottenham are not improved either. That moves us up three spots, number three. Maybe one of them don't do as bad as they seem, still #4.

    You also picked up less points than United and Chelsea and that matters more (you don't get more points for beating top teams AT HOME). Also, Arsenal did their usual bottling act but a season lasts 38 games. And City? How many more points did you pick up during your half season that counted? Do you reckon you'll gain more points than them over 38 games?

    Who will you displace?

    You'll be 5th. The fact you expect top 4 just makes it sweeter. And if you really want to use preseason as a barometer, how'd Liverpool get on at the KC yesterday? I didn't hear the result.

    Pretty sure we played chelsea and arsenal in first half of season, so when you say "top teams" who do you mean?

    Where has all this "other teams have strengthened" come from? Who has? I don't see any great strengthening happening at Chelsea, Arsenal or Spurs as of yet. United still have not addressed their midfield weakness. Arsenal have not addressed their defensive issues and still face the possibility of loseing their 2 best midfielders.

    Last season has well and truly gone. All of the top 6 sides need to face the reality of today and i would say that our strengthening/development is much further forward as of now than our competitiors.

    Why is that laughable? You finished 6th last season and 7th the year before. Are you seriously saying that the thgought of you finishing 6th next year is humorous? The only humorous thing is that you wound up there in the first place.

    Having to play Blackpool, West Ham and West Brom and Villa away in the second half of the season was unfavourable. Not to mention Spurs at home.

    I admit I was wumming (poorly) before but how is questioning a fan who finds the thought of Liverpool finishing 6th a WUM point, given that they finished 7th and 6th in the previous 2 seasons respectively? Yeah, that comment was the straw that broke the camel's back <laugh>

    And err, Man Utd went behind 2-0 at Blackpool, West Ham and Villa and struggled at West Brom only just winning in the end. So yeah, they clearly aren't bad teams.

    What opinion conveyed is anything other than self opinion?! And no, my opinion is based on more. United, Chelsea and City are better and nailed on for top 3. That leaves one spot for Liverpool. Will you finish above Arsenal? For all the bravado, you must know that Arsenal will be brilliant for half a season and you'll be playing catch up from then onwards.
