When looking at world football right now i find it hard to see many players that are better than Suarez. The likes of Messi and Ronaldo spring to mind!

Since signing for us in January (£22.8mil) he has been electric in every game for both club and country. Clearly we've pulled off an incredible signing.

Just a thought, how much do you think his value may of already increased to?

Would you rank him as one of the best right now?

Great result for the lad tonight, fully deserved <ok>

I can't believe how good he is, his on fire.

I hope he gets a decent rest, possibly give him a month's break because I prefer to lose him for a month than have half of him for the whole season.

I believe when he gets a full season behind him everyone will realise how good he really is, at the moment the word 'glimpses' springs to mind.

    Value: (Excluding possible inflation) £30m

    I wouldn't rank him.

Suarez is a very skillfull and excieting player let's just leave it at that. What we do not need right now - or ever- is another Torres syndrome. This season is about building a sqaud that is no longer reliant upon the performances of 1 or 2 players. So let's keep agreeing with the mancs that he lacks skill and doesn't have the pace of chikpea:)

But I can't wait to see how he will blend with ball players like Adam and Aqua when he comes back.

BTW, has naybody got any news on how Gerrard is progresing - apart from press crap?

When we signed him i knew he was good as i saw bits of the Dutch league but i didn't expect him to be this good!

I agree though he should definitely be given a rest, we cant afford to take the risk to be honest.

Yeah but the whole thing about Suarez is that he is a PROPER team player. Torres although very good, was purely playing for himself. Thats the difference between good players and great players.

Jeeez, talk about jumping the gun. Wait till the end of next season before you start chiming him off as the best forward in the prem (deluded) and in the top 5 in the world (ha.)

He is no better than Rooney, Drogba, Torres, Van Persie, Tevez. I'd even say he isn't as good as Hernandez yet.

Ooooo he's had a good copa america and a decent start to his premier league career, HE MUST BE THE BEST IN THE WORLD.

Ha, I'm not bitter and I do think Suarez is a great player. It's a bit early to be calling him the best player in the world, give him a full season in the premier league before you do that at least.

Let's give him a full season before ranking him among the best in the world.

I do rate him and I think he will do well next season.

I don't think anyone would say he is the best in the world. All i think is he's possibly up there as one of the best (top 6/7 maybe) players on recent and current form.

On current form yes, but then again most players haven't been playing. Bale was amazing for a couple of months last season but didn't retain that form throughout. To be part of the best players you have to be consistently fantastic, so judge him at the end of the season.

Well yes I'll admit he's far more rounded player capable of more things then Hernandez's fairly basic game, however Hernandez suits United's game more than Suarez would as we already possess a number of players that can go past a man and create chances. There are very few players, if any, who are as good as Hernandez at putting the ball in the back of the net and he compliments Rooney perfectly.

So maybe Suarez is a better player than Hernandez, but who would I rather have at United? The little pea.

Unlike Suarez, Hernandez had a full season in the EPL and impressed throughout. Unlike some of you fella's I am not declaring him to be one of the world's best players, I'm declaring him to be one of the world's most composed and clinical finishers, which is what he is. Can you think of any players last season who were better at finishing then him? Tevez maybe, Berbatov maybe but Hernandez did come off the bench and score a lot and played less games than both these two.

I think saying hes not as good as Hernandez is a fair point to some extent. On one hand we have a player who has had a full PL season, performed well at the World Cup and at his own continental cup. Suarez has done basically the same but for the PL season.

Which is better? Well United fans are going to say Hernandez and Liverpool fans will say Suarez.

He is certainly not as good as Rooney, Torres, Drogba, Tevez. Not yet.
