They are hardly great signings, especially considering how much you spent on them, and the other sides will all have strengthened too.

Apologies for the 2nd/3rd mistake, I wasn't sure which place we had come.

You also made a minor mistake, we never lost to Wolves when KK was in charge, we beat them 3-0 (We had lost against them 3 weeks earlier under Roy Hodgson).

Still, despite the poor first half to the season, we managed to finish sixth. You still cannot deny that with our additions, we have improved our squad (Aswell as the other reasons stated above). Which in theory, should improve our league finish. Add the current troubles Spurs and Arsenal have had with their players into the equation, and I'm sure that there is a pretty good chance.

I'm not saying you weren't better. What I'm saying is that you were the 3rd best team in that period, factually. That is in spite of having a far more favourable fixture list in the second half of the season. Now, let's look at City. They won the FA Cup and picked up 16 points from their last 6 games. They are clicking and will only get stronger. Arsenal showed relegation form in the last couple of months. Nothing new there. They will start the new season on fire as they always do. They will inevitably fall away but will Liverpool be able to eat away at the lead they build over them? I doubt it.

Top 4 will be United, Chelsea, City (in any order) followed by Arsenal on their own and then it will be Liverpool and Spurs, again in any particular order.

Don't think it will happen in the upcoming season.

For some reason it's posted on the Liverpool board twice now, but was on the Manc's board before.

I dont see how you can have a "far" more favorable fixture list in the final half of a season. They would be similar.

Alright, Manchester United posters, can you start adding more to your posts because there seems to be plenty of lack of evidence/explanation provided

Okay then, swap Wolves for West Brom. Who are you going to displace from the top 4 then? I think you'll be out of it before the final day.

The money spent is somewhat irrelevant, 2 questions:

    1. Have liverpool strengthened or not?
    2. Have spurs/arsenal strengthened by a similar amount?

You mean playing the top teams at home isn't more favourable than playing them away and this, all things being equal, should not impact upon your results in a positive manner? I'm not suggesting conspiracy theories. What I'm saying is that you should expect to gain more points at home to top teams than away against them. And as Liverpool played the top 3 at home in the 2nd half of the season, they should have been expected to pick up more points.

So we played Arsenal, Chelsea away in the second half of the season, and played Man City and Man Utd away in the first part of the season, that's unfavourable?

Sounds like rubbish logic to me.

I already corrected the Wolves point in fairness. It was West Brom who beat you. My bad! So, who are you going to displace from the current top 4? Seriously, you have spent £104 million and how much better are you? Well, when Fernando Torres is top scorer in the league next season, United are champions and you finish 5th/6th maybe you'll see where I'm coming from.

    Back it up!

We came sixth despite a poor start when the whole club was in crisis, missing players and we managed to pick it up in the second half of the season beating 3 of the top four and since then we have strengthened our squad which should increase our chances to enter the top four by a fair few bit.

I already answered the form table point. Liverpool played most of the top teams at home in the 2nd half of the season. Arsenal also performed their usual bottling act. A season lasts 38 games and that's the only form guide that matters come the final reckoning. Strengthened squad? Open to serious debate. Will your best midfielder from last season (Mereiles) start or will Dalglish have to put his mouth where his money is and start Big Time Charlie and Jordan Henderson ahead of him? Final finish? Yeah 6th seems about right.
