He's a tramp playing poker with billionaires by all accounts, Mr Jenkins. He looks like he's preparing for the worst, that manager is a joke of Pepe Mel proportions.
I'm presuming he's open to the transfer is because the clause is that he'll be given a certain % of the full transfer fee. E.g. if we pay £16mill for him he'd end up with say 25% of that - which he'd be more than happy to take regardless of whether it's to us or say someone like Liverpool. They're all just mercenaries nowadays otherwise he wouldn't have gone to Swansea in the first place. But I agree it looks like they're in over their heads leaving them having to get rid of the highest paid players: Shelvey, Ayew & Gomis.
Gomis and Ayew have wage related pay offs apparently. Doubt they fancy paying huge bulk sums out from the championship when their value drops significantly. They're already on over inflated wages from being free so unless a citih come in for him nobody will match their wages being stuck in with those wages will cripple them. Don't think they reckoned on being in anywhere near this position. Selling them now while they'll get the best fee possible is sensible contingency. Still don't think we'll get him though. Once we have a bid accepted it will be matched by a better club and we'll lose out.
I think WBA will look at him as a direct replacement for Berahino if he leaves. I also think Everton would be interested, they've moved out Naismith and they should get rid of McGeady also... there'll be competition I'd imagine. The manager looks to me like somebody who's been fetched in, like that fat, curled out turd that Blackburn had... Keen, fetched in just because they've got thick skin and the crowd are about to unload a trillion tonnes of **** on them.
I think it's a % of their wages from a contract clause and not a percentage of a transfer fee. It's a pretty clever idea for free signings though, although the player profits massively it does mean they're covered when the next club doesn't match their wages. In the case of Gomis who's been **** mostly, it prevents a Danny Graham situation. But it can backfire, like it is, they've got to sell as doing it in the summer once relegated will prevent any decent profit for them. I don't think Swansea envisaged being any where near the relegation zone.
Fair do's - I'm just speculating and guessing as to what it might be. They're going to be thin on the ground if they don't manage to get some decent replacements in.
Well me too but I got it from someone who I can't identify but the rumors coming out seem to be matching it since. I said last week I'd been told that Swansea have ****ed their wages right up and need to sell. Now all these contract stipulation rumors have sufficed which if true mean they're in a ****ed up situation if they go down. Still don't think we'll get him.
Looks like there might be a swap, Bafetimbi Gomis to Palace and Dwight Gayle going to Swansea... they really are preparing for the championship!
Swansea have said there has been no new bid from Sunderland since the first bid 11 days ago You guys make this stuff up in panic or what ? We will pay 51 million in wages this season , Sunderland will pay 71 million ....better question you're own wage structure
No mate - its on Sky Sports News Agreed. Our wages are very high. Bad management over the last 5 years
Because no club has never said one thing and done another ever. Our wage structure is being discussed on other threads, it's not relevant here.
I think there may be legs in this. Sunderland want Ayew, he wants a load of money and Swansea want him off the wage bill. On Borini, he agent says he is happy and does not want to leave so he can get big wages and a pay off himself. This is how things in football work: money money money........ It is all that matters. 6 months ago Borini did not want to come here and now he is happy. It is all bullshit but the only reason this transfer will not happen is time and greed. As in the player/s hold out for too much, no one blinks first and the window shuts. Sam has a good record in the transfer window so it would not surprise me if we get a couple of decent players in.
'You're' means 'you are' so what you're saying there is 'you are own wage structure'. I'm not saying my spelling and grammar is perfect by any means but come on it's very basic stuff.
I wasn't trying for a counter argument, I didn't care about what you said, my eyes just can't take any more of your spelling.
Our chairman is a multi billionaire and we have fans, ours being bigger is not relevant. The combined net worth of all of your shareholders is £32 million, so a £31 million wage bill alone screams bankruptcy and financial ruin, and adds weight to the fact you will look to sell.
That's a different debate though. Facts are if we go down we are wholly owned by someone who could keep us afloat. If you go down you are Bolton, you are ****ed. He's being smart shifting players out, and like it or not, he will sell your best players to protect himself and the club. We are ****, well done for spotting that, but we are BUYING you are SELLING and **** as we are we've had a few points off you shower this season.
