Pretty gutted that as a very fair haired and skinned person we have gone for a pale away kit. Goddamit, I want to be noticeable for the hornets meet up.

I actually like it, but not so keen on the collar - I don't really like round necks!

I think we have had some great white away kits in the past.... I'll try to find links....

When we had the Solvite shirt in the mid to late 80s, with the red and black stripe in the middle... our away kit was white with red and black stripe http://www.oldfootballshirts.com/en/teams/w/watford/old-watford-football-shirt-s17986.html

There was the Herald and Post shirt, with the yellow, red and black on the top of the sleeves - loved that shirt http://www.oldfootballshirts.com/en/teams/w/watford/old-watford-football-shirt-s23001.html

I even really liked the 83-85 away kit in white http://www.oldfootballshirts.com/en/teams/w/watford/old-watford-football-shirt-s21670.html

We won't see the kit very often anyway... but I am seriously considering getting this. I generally buy the away kits over the home anyway!

I couldn't care less if our away kit was pink and purple as long as the team did the business on the pitch.

    Good post Salisbury Kev.

Don't really understand others comments that 'white isn't us'?!

Whenever I think of our away kits, I always think of the classic 1980s IVECO away kit of WHITE shirts and black shorts and socks. Pretty sure we also had a white away kit in early 1990s. It's our classic away colour!

Having said that, the triple collar does not look great.

Nope looked at it again to make sure I wasnt missing any thing.....Still dont like it , still makes us look like our neighbours up the M1 the triple collar is just wrong , the colour is wrong , its just wrong ! last years and even the year before was really good , but imo this one sucks ! I think the number of away shirts sold might dip this year! I wouldnt even pay a fiver!

I am quite liking the White kit. The only problem i have with it is that it is very similar to rival kits especialy l***n and L*e*s. I loved the away kit from last season and i think it suited our play style. It will be interesting to see how the players act when in this kit. I am also loving the keepers away kit!!! That purple is lovely!

Maybe it's us old ones who don't like the thought of playing in white - because of our enemies up the road.

I do remember the time up at Bloomfield Road, Blackpool on New Year's Day 1972, when Watford came out in (horror of horrors) white shirts, black shorts and were soundly booed for the whole game by the Watford fans. We lost 5-0.

George Kirby, manager at the time, commented that we should have been cheering the team, no matter what colour they played in.

He was roundly & soundly criticised in the letter column in the WO for weeks afterwards............
