Ohh i just jizzed my pants. And then I remembered Townsend aint exactly hot **** so I had a retrograde ejaculation. If we get a striker I might let it rip tho.
If Townsend shows his form from his QPR days and England then he will be a fantastic signing. Big if, but I'll give him a chance. PL experience again and the potential to whip in some killer balls for our strikers. Well, Mitrovic and the mystery other.
Yeah but we ain't gonna go down because we don't have a reserve centre half. Sure in the summer Colo needs replacing. If Tiote goes back int he side puts in same kind of shifts he did in the last two games he played, Townsend gets down the left and puts some balls across for someone to knock them in we have a chance of staying up.
Who said anything about a reserve? I think we need a partner for Mbemba now. We might get away with Colo until the summer, but being honest we've been saying that for 5 years and we have had a woeful defence throughout. Mbemba is a young lad too and has had a few dodgy games of late. Lascelles is hard to assess obviously. I'd have no problem if we bought the right quality of centre back them going straight in. Realistically though I accept we are probably 6 months late solving that issue and now won't have the required options. One thing for sure is we need a left back badly. We haven't got one of PL standard. Dummett is a centre half who isn't even good enough in his natural position (and injured), and Haidara is injured and useless anyway. That leaves Jack who is also injured and not even good enough to be starting 11 in his natural role.
Mbemba has the potential to be a top defender [as Graeme kiss of death Souness would say.] He needs a partner desperately. He is making mistakes because he is a young kid. Iron those out of his game and we will be laughing. Left back - That needs to be addressed in this window.
I have complete confidence in Mbemba's ability, I think he is a great buy. We can't just go on ignoring the glaring problem that is Colo and a left back though. Left back must be sorted this window without fail. Centre half the next window without fail but preferably this one. We are shocking defensively.
A Massive If But or Maybe, But I for one am getting so much more excited if A: We stay up and B: The thought of two NUFC players in the England camp for Euro 2016 Shelvey will have to replicate his West Ham performance week in week out Townsend will have to get off to a flyer But if both keep fit, play well, then I'd be well happy if they could make it and would make my viewing of the Euro so much more exciting! Shame Janmaat, Wiji and Mitro wont be there, I would probably be Ejaculating all over me own face and sufferring concusion!
If we had any real interest in Berahino we should have pushed for that deal first. If Spurs retain any interest in him then we're financing 50% of the move for them.
I don't know how true this is, but we are after Remy on loan, with a view to going back for Lacazette in the summer.
I'd have a look at Michael Keane from Burnley in terms of centre backs. Should be coming into a good age for centre backs soon.
More likely Remy on loan so we can sign Andre Gray in the summer. Lacazette is sadly never going to happen.
Leave him to get back to fitness like he would be allowed to do at a well run club? Usually when you run a football league in the top division of a country you have 2 guys to play in every position.
Not sure how positive I am about this, lots of Spurs supporting colleagues laughing about this - common consensus seems to be he shoots every time he gets the ball and crossing isn't his thing. Seems a bit like Ben Arfa with less attitude. Signing an England international is always a bonus, but this one's a bit of a rough diamond that needs the right coaching/needs to be in the right position. Striker still a massive priority.
Could just be that he never really settled at Spurs. New change, new surroundings may bring out the best in him. We won't know until he plays. We have addressed the winger problem, now get the goalscorer and left back issue sorted. I suspect though we are waiting until the summer to sign Jetro Willems and a new CB to play alongside Mbemba.
English, pace, knows the league, can score goals. The fact is, if he earns you 3 points and you stay up by 3 or less then it's the best £12m you've spent. You're short on grafters, he's one.
