On the whole he has done Ok, and these have been the best signings IMO, Davies, Maguire, Dawson, Dave, Robertson, Clucas, Elmo, Meyler, Hernandez, Livermore (even though I think we paid over the odds) Huddlestone has been on average not a bad signing, Snodgrass looks as if he will be a good signing.

It wasn't our 'infamous medical team' who said no. It was a second opinion, asked for because of all the **** the club received when they took a risk on Bullard.

They didn't take a risk on Bullard, they identified the problem but the chairman/manager pushed ahead with the sale anyway. Its only their job to advise those who make decisions not to make the decisions themselves.

Are people seriously questioning Bruce's position if he gets us up? Honestly, some people baffle me. We are Hull City, we have, pre 2008, no history of playing in the top division or being a particularly 'well known' team world wide. If Bruce gets us up, in his 4 seasons with the club he would have secured us 2 promotions, our highest ever league finish and an FA cup final place. With one bad season, which yes was hampered at times by his tactics but certainly not his signings. If he gets us promoted he will quite rightly keep his job and will spend what he sees fit to try keep us up again.

He has a good track record of getting teams out the Championship and into the Premier League; once there he's achieved nowt! I support the Watford and Southampton strategy, to step up another gear I would support a change of manager. As it stands though I don't expect that to happen should we get promoted unless the clubs ownership changes

This is completely irrelevant but I agree with the sentiment of the post, Bruce deserves far more credit than he gets.

Which could quite easily turn into the Sunderland and Aston Villa strategy and upon relegation become the Leeds and Charlton strategy.

Anything's possible. Whilst I thought Brucey was unlucky with injuries last season, the football served up generally was bloody awful. If we get promoted I don't want another season like last season. That might mean a change of manager and ownership. Just a personal view. In terms of history as some posters refer to, it is precisely that history (what there is of it). I'm only interested in looking forward

Although there are obvious exceptions Bruce is a good transfer market manager. I would trust him with the purse strings, but in an ideal world it would be good to also have a striker coach like Kevin Phillips advising him on forward players.

    YES.

However, Bruce has to look for at least "3" strikers in the summer first of all. imo.

Agreed John. However, to be fair, ALL clubs pay over the odds when dealing with Spurs and Daniel Levy.!!!

Whilst I think that's true I really don't like the idea. A manager should at least get chance to manage at the higher level after taking a team there. In Bruce's case it'll be a second chance at not ****ing it up this time. If we did go up I'd only get rid if we're looking **** again. And I'm not even a big Bruce fan.

I'd hate to think he would be our left winger if we went up , personally think he is punching above his weight playing for a team at the top end of this division , he's ok but not great

You obviously have not been watching Norwich City of late. On Saturday Brady was awful and cost Norwich a point.

Clucas is a work in progress for sure though. But the lad is doing more than ok.
