    Scots, wha hae wi' Wallace bled,
    Scots, wham Bruce has aften led;
    Welcome to your gory bed,
    Or to victory!

    Now's the day, and now's the hour;
    See the front o' battle lour;
    See approach proud Edward's power—
    Chains and slavery!

    Wha will be a traitor knave?
    Wha can fill a coward's grave!
    Wha sae base as be a slave?
    Let him turn and flee!

    Wha for Scotland's king and law
    Freedom's sword will strongly draw,
    Freeman stand, or freeman fa',
    Let him follow me!

    By oppression's woes and pains!
    By your sons in servile chains!
    We will drain our dearest veins,
    But they shall be free!

    Lay the proud usurpers low!
    Tyrants fall in every foe!
    Liberty's in every blow!—
    Let us do or die!

    So when exactly is this annual festival of rampant Jockery? Pubs down here used to try and lure midweek punters in with promises of horrible food and the threat of bagpipes, but they seem to have given up on that lately.

    Scottish people are too poor to live in London nowadays.

    Hull is probably rocking to the sound of bagpipes tonight though.

    Everyone's too poor to live in London nowadays. Trouble is, I'm too cool to live anywhere else :emoticon-0103-cool:.

    You'll be fine so long as you don't want to buy a newspaper or a packet of ***s, Plenty of places to get a picture framed or buy an antique rug, and that's just in Hackney.

    I'll be in London Fields so can easily pop out to get a £4 loaf of organic, hand kneaded cinnamon and poppy seed bread or some crack, bringing my baccy over from France with me.

    There's an Iceland and a Lidl 2mins from mine too, so won't starve. Not looking forward to eating Crispy Pancakes again though...

    I know plenty who live and work in London., I could move there and sort myself out to live fine if I didn't care about my kids enough to put them through the terrible Education System.

    You might know plenty who work in London. You'd have to win the lottery twice to afford anywhere to live, or would you be planning to kip on someone's sofa?

    Unless you are a council tenant or you bought property 20 years ago, if you work in London and have a normal job you'll be commuting in from Harlow, Hitchin or Hayes every day.

    Out near Heathrow isn't it? Green and pleasant, good transport links. Probably a bit noisy though, and that's without the third runway.
