Jimmy, **** off, no one wants you, the club dont want you, the fans dont want you. Get the message and do the decent thing
I think I'm the one remaining fan who'd love for everyone to make up and us to have the league's best player in our midfield.
I've given up hope, it sounds properly serious like they're gonna sack him or something. I just hope we replace him, either through a new signing or a new lease of life for Evans/Cairney.
I know yesterday was only a friendly, but from what i hear the midfield looked pretty good yesterday. You can't miss what you never had, we rarely saw the best of Bullard when he played for us. We seem to be doing ok without him to be honest, he is a good player but we saw last autumn how the last few injuries have affected him. The club is bigger than Jimmy and we desperately need to move on from this.
True, but I'm just going by the end of last season our midfield was so average it was unreal. Corry Evans was part of that and hardly drove the team forward. If he or Cairney are going to get a lot better this season then great, but if we get rid of JB and then have the same problem this season I think I might cry.
Final words. He's a money grabbing, unprofessional, lazy arsed **** who should pull his finger out and start working for his ridiculously high salary that he doesn't earn. However he is also hugely talented, and when on form, is the best midfielder in the league.
I'd still love to see him play although i now accept he's been a complete **** and will probably be frozen out. If he was up for it it'd be a mouth watering prospect with him spraying the ball about setting up our weapons down the flanks. Sadly it seems like it was never meant to be.
I'm yet to see city play this season so will judge things for myself when i see them first hand against Blackpool, but i agree with you that the midfield was poor at times last season, but i'm not convinced given his performances earlier in the season we'd have got the best from JB. He seemed to be having a new lease of life down at Ipswich and seem much happier playing down there under Paul Jewell, a different player to the one we saw play for us only weeks before. His position at the club has become pretty much untenable and i doubt we'll see him play for us again with NP in charge. Hopefully the experience of Mckenna in midfield will help bring on Evans and Cairney this season, both good players but just need to do it consistently but that might come with a bit more age and experience.
What wages a player on should not make you judge him on them, the player did not demand them he was offered them, But no matter what he is on he has not shown the club respect, and he has not being good enough for us on the pitch or off it.
I'm sorry are you serious?? So your telling me football players dont go to a club and say... THIS is the minimum i will play for if you dont pay it i'm walking. Half football players on the planet demand what wages they get, they may not get exactly but they get close to it. Especially if the club wants them badly enough
I'm not judging him on wages (unlike what many others do with mcshane) I'm merely stating that he does feck all and doesn't earn it (unlike mcshane who plays his heart out every week).
Nope... I've probably given up on him staying here though, can't see him playing for us again unless something drastic happens. The best I could hope for is that we can't shift him before the end of the transfer window and Pearson's been given the boot by the time the next one starts.
